Since event start zero ink drop!

Maybe my rng is just really really bad sind the undaunted event started but since then I can't remember of an ink to have dropped from nodes, chests or npc during my many activities.

Usually I did get at least an ink every second or third dungeon I ran but now nada.

And while I don't farm less I did not get any drop from nodes.

Is it just me or was drop rate significantly reduced recently or is it a bug?

I dropped three ink yesterday in two trial runs, and one or two more in nodes or sacks (don't remember).
So probably bad RNG luck.

It's you and me too. Ink is dropping but since the last patch at least I'm having a much lower drop rate.

I got 5 by just doing dungeons, so bad rng yours.

Also, I even don't care anymore for inks as I have +100 stored and they are very cheap to buy.

Can't understand why people keep caring.

Guess some people care because of the achievement. I was farming ink every day for at about half an hour but as almost nothing is dropping since the patch I don't care anymore - I'm having 200something so I don't need to grind anymore.

RNG... I've never had any drop from dungeons, in fact I think I've only had drops from mats (and yes, all available methods are unlocked).

An achievement that requires 500 inks and only gives 15 points and that can take months or years to obtain unless you play/farm a loooooooooooot and are ultra mega hyper lucky with the drops?

Besides, we all know ZOS will eventually reduce the amount of inks needed for the achievement, same as they did with several other achievements that required a lot of kills, drops, etc. (ie: 100 scamps in IC reduced to 100, killing 100 players reduced to 10, and so.)

Thanks for the feedback. As the God of Luck and RNG decided I finally got an ink from a heavy sack.

So I guess I will have to search his shrine to offer a sacrifice to make him more favorable to me.

RNG is a bit of a pain but if you ever feel like you are not getting ink try focusing on getting a lead drop from a random zone. I will almost guarantee it will drop well after you got 5 to 10 inks.....or in my case after you get 25. XD

For me it feels like the drop rate has gotten better (knock on wood). I didn't use to get any now it's 1 or 2 every other trial.

Ink rate for me is really good right now. It’s just bad rng you have . Especially eso is famous for his bad rng system . Your drops will increase sometime down the road.

When I bother to farm (which I don't much any more because I have enough ink for now) the drop rate is fine. It's still not stella just doing ordinary things, but I don't care about the achivement so it's not an issue for me.

i was with someone that got between 15-20 ink from mobs, heavy sacks, and chests just from dungeons. i picked up 4-5 myself.

they are dropping, but like all things RNG based, sometimes the rolls are against you.

That's the key I think: loot Everything. And if on PC get yourself an autosell addon. I use Personal Assistant.

I had 3 from 1 heavy sack in Nlc yesterday. No idea how , cause normally I get 2 with the CP. But not complaining

The problem is that it's very hard to tell the difference between a zero drop rate and an incredibly low one. Case in point, when was the last time you got an apex mount from a crate?

The problem is that it's very hard to tell the difference between a zero drop rate and an incredibly low one. Case in point, when was the last time you got an apex mount from a crate?

The crates can be harder to tell especially since it costs crowns in order to purchase them. Also because its a loot box the rate on the radiant apex mounts are extremely low from a general business end of things. In those cases though we understand the drop rate a bit better which I think it is listed on a wiki. The radiant apex mounts are below 2% and they do drop....just after a lot of crates. Got a venomous lizard wolf mount from the murkmire ones since those were discounted.

I think some antiquity leads though can give a better example like Khenarthi's sweet song or cat eye prism. Those didn't drop for around 2 hours for me and because we have no idea how likely leads are to drop and because we don't know how the system works it caused me to suspect that it may be bugged because I went through the entire area with a second character recently without a single drop. Then it dropped in a half hour the next day. So is the drop rate 5%, 1%, 0.05% we don't know especially since some drops feel more like 30% or even 80%. It feels very random how the drop rates operate between them.

They've remained pretty consistent for me since Scribing was introduced, even with the addition of treasure chests and heavy sacks (and I guess surveys?) as sources; hovering [very] roughly around one ink per hour.
Not that I have that much time everyday to play, so one per hour is definitely an average.
(I've obtained less than 70 inks, total, since the beginning, which includes the 6 from the two wings I've completed, and all of the daily reward grants so far.)
