Sorceror

Is there a reason why I go into a PVP environment and I get killed in 1 or 2 hits from someone? I'm a VR1 Sorcerer and I get killed as if I were a lvl 1 newbie. Don't get me wrong I can kill people but I just die way too fast for someone my level. Then you have to travel all the way back to the battle just to die in one or two hits from either someone on the way or some where near the siege. It's just not that fun and for higher levels to be dying so quickly is odd.

Try keeping a safe distance from enemies and using mostly ranged abilities. If you did what many sorcs do, and you put most stat points into magicka, and less into your health, and you're wearing light armor, then you are going to be easier to kill. And if that's the case then your strategy needs to be avoiding damage as much as possible

You can overcharge your magicka while still keeping your health high by having magicka enchantments on your gear and putting attribute points into health. Also there are foods that give bonus to either magicka, health, or stamina and they last 35 minutes at their base, those are just the vendor foods.

With all that said the TTK in this game is incredibly low regardless of character level.

Love people running full Magicka/Stam Builds in PvP because higher dps hurr durr, one sorc dps rotation with a single crit and you get your juicy AP.

Breaking CC, blocking, well timed rolls, defensive abilities, good use of pots etc do much more for your survivability than any gear or stats ever will.

I took a more defensive role in PvP with my sorc and die in 4 or 5 hits even when blocking. I have found sorc to be the squishiest out of all the classes. I guess that is why we have bolt escape.. Really our only chance of survival is staying ranged and kiting. Im VR2 currently ranked 54 on AD in Wabbajack so I have put a considerable amount of time into PvP.

To put clear.. Slot bolt escape and spec for ranged if you want to have a chance.

If you aren't overcharging armor and spell resistance in PvP you're probably not going to survive long. Sorcerer's wearing light armor should toggle bound armor and get spell resistance from light armor passives. You should also be looking at either using a restoration staff or critical surge to keep yourself healed. If you really want to be able to take a beating then you might want to consider conjured ward or something similar. Without high stamina blocking isn't going to help you as you'll get drained just breaking CC and then blocking will just make you an easy target.

It really depends on the role you want to play on the battlefield though. Glass cannon's can be useful as long as you have people around you to keep the enemy attention away. They may just go for you because you're wearing a dress though.

Well guess what, i'll just break Eclipse like any other CC, also Emperor Bonuses only apply in your home campaign.
But funny that you mentioned it, Nicolle burned herself to crisps multiple times like that.

How are you going to break out of Eclipse or Backlash even? Those aren't crowd control effects. You would have to be a templar to do that or use purge in the alliance tree, but that costs 820 magicka versus me casting it on you again for 240 magicka. Enlighten me.

As a sorc you want to be at range at all times, preferably near your max whenever you can. Also, be sure to have bolt escape and conversion on your bar to back off and regen when you get too much heat. Take a look at bumping up your spell crit. In pvp it can make all the difference when you only get a few spells off. And since people like to spec in it, consider having armor with the Impenetrable trait. If you're getting stunned and knocked down a lot, Unstoppable potions can be a lifesaver with the 3-second immune to knockback and stun. Don't forget to use food as a cheap way to get some extra stats and boost your health up a bit more. Finally, have fun!
