necro corpse generation change

Was this really needed ? The recent changes to necro basically only affect solo pve necros yet every necro playstyle was nerfed with this.
If you think ult generation out of combat is a problem, then disactivate ult gen from the corpse consumption passive and bitter harvest. Now necros can't prebuff with corpse consuming abilities before a fight so they yet again get worse results than other classes while having to work more. It just feels like this nerf was thrown at necro because the "buffs" it got in u42 seemed too big
edit : don't forget that nb can still generate ult with the catalyst passive...

While I disagree with you on it "only affect solo pve necros", I do completely agree that it was a very unnecessary buff to an already, by most accounts, struggling class.

Personally, I have yet to ever see an issue with passive ultimate gain, or doing methods to gain it before a combat; especially, again, for a class that's already hurting.

Unlike some others I've seen, I don't think any of this is "targeted" in a mean way at necro-players, but I absolutely think this is either some dev(s) being pretty daft, or just an effort to make the most recent/shiny class the best (Arcanist) to sell it more.

If it's the former, maybe something can be done about it; however if it's the latter (and most likely imo), then riiiiiip and fml because company B.S. will never stop.

This feels like another step in ZOS' war against prebuffing, the change before this being that you can't generate stacks on DK whip out of combat anymore. I do not understand why ZOS is doing this, it feels like a continuation of U35 and I mean that as a very bad thing.

They didn't just remove Necro's ability to generate corpses while out of combat, they also secretly removed their ability to consume corpses while out of combat.

If you generate a corpse while in combat, then finish combat, and the corpse is still there, you will not be able to consume it, despite being highlighted as consumable.

I remember complaining on more than one occasion about that change before it went live. It was a flat out nerf. I'm on console and I didn't even need to be on PTS to know that this was going to be a BIG problem for Necros. I must now wait for someone to open combat on me before I am able to activate a tether and get my heal over time going. This is a completely OUT OF TOUCH decision!!!!!!!
