What Class Is Best For Imperial Race

I am like to make a magicka and stamina for each Class and I realized I have not used any Imperials. Is there a class that an Imperial could be magicka and/or stamina in? I play solo, PVE.

I have read where some use the Imperials for Templar, Warden, Nightblade and DK. Haven't seen alot of Arcanist info on Imperials. Just wondering what class would be good to make a mag and/or stam using an Imperial. I have four classes that I only have stamina in. Was thinking of using an Imperial (possibly) and Breton somewhere for magicka.

I currently have:

2 Templars - High Elf (Mag) Bosmer (Stam)
1 Nightblade - Dark Elf (Stam)
1 Warden - Redguard (Stam)
1 Sorcerer - Bosmer (Stam)
1 Necromancer - Redguard (Stam)
1 DK - Dark Elf (Stam)
2 Arcanist - Dark Elf (Stam) High Elf (Mag)

Thanks!

If you're playing solo, then it's entirely down to you and how you see the character that you're creating. It's only if you're playing ultra-competitively with a meta build that the race and class make any difference at all.

Stamsorc isn’t it. I made the mistake of making my main a stamsorc on day 1 in 2014 to more closely resemble my Skyrim character.

He’s mostly a weapon skill user.

I’ve been waiting for ages for a class change token which I think will never come and so now he’s only my crafter while I work to make my stamarc my new main.

You can do with an Imperial pretty much the same things you'd do with a Nord, a Bosmer, or a Redguard. Imperials get a racial health bonus the Bosmer and Reguard don't and it's a bit more than what Nords get, but I can compensate for that with sets, foods, potions, and/or enchants if necessary. The bit I like more about Imperials is the generalized reduced ability costs rather than their racial resource bonuses. I don't turn up my nose at those bonuses, but a Health/Stam pool that's comparatively a bit larger isn't a game-changer and cheaper abilities are much more helpful.

Unless you are playing ultra end-game, race doesn't matter much. And if you are playing ultra end-game stuff, then you're going to be focusing on whichever race happens to be slightly more meta this quarter and then mostly ignoring them when something else becomes slightly more meta next quarter.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

My stamina NB and Necromancer are both Imperials and seem to do ok for what I use them for. I don't do anything more difficult than vet base game dungeons. My Necromancer does seem to have issues with resources, but I don't know if that is a racial thing or just me being really bad with the rotation.

I mostly chose Imperial because I think they look better.

You can do whatever you want, but if you do want to go off passives I'd suggest DK since you have one of those and also reduced cost of abilities would work great with DK. Additionally, if you're interested in lore, the Tscaesci invaded and intermingled with Imperials. Dragonknights are a Tscaesci invention, so it would make sense for an Imperial to know how to be a Dragonknight by blood or tradition.

Imperial Dragonknight works very well in my opinion.

I have an Imperial Dragonknight as my main and depending on the build, can do pretty much any content.

If your goal is to create the best character for trials or veteran HM DLC dungeons, race matters.

For more casual content or more solo play, race doesn't matter that much.

From a lore perspective I think Imperial is the best for a Dragonknight! Considering their connection to Akatosh, the Amulet of Kings and such.

Both my Redguards DKs were deleted and morphed (new chars, lots of work) into Imperial Dragon Guards. Was not an easy decision but I have a self imposed character limit of 5 per server after AWA so after a lot of soul searching I shot that arrow.

Thanks everyone for the info. As a solo player I've spent a lot of time questing with each character and making each able to sustain resources. A few are running out of content so it's time to make more characters and I was thinking of using races I haven't touched yet like Imperial, Orc, Breton, etc.

I do see the point of it really doesn't matter being a solo player what I choose as long as it works for what I am doing. :)

This happened to me. I made a Bosmer DK on day one. Still have her as I made her into my main crafter. Never felt right having a Bosmer as a DK and being my first and only character for a while, I didn't want to delete her. She is now retired and only comes out when needed for crafting. :)

Imperial DK tank. DK have a really good resource recovery and imperial provides the good reduction in resource cost.

I could use Imperial for any class of PvP character. The health and the skill cost reduction are fabulous.

My main is a Imperial DK but other than passives I don't use a single DK skill, its all 2H or SB. I mostly solo with that character.

Yeah I have one DK a dark elf and she does well maintaining resources. I would love to make a tank. I've never had one. Being a solo player, not sure how much fun that would be. I've always wanted to go SB but figured why being all by myself, LOL!

I may go Breton for a mag NB and possibly an Imperial for a mag DK. Looking at the skills I am really surprised at how many DK skills are mag not stam.

Ah well if none of my ideas work out I can always delete them before sinking too much time into the character. :)

You're thinking is backwards. Chose the role then the class and then the race that best supports what you want to do in light of the previous two choices... or just pick whatever you like. Unless you're trial score pushing or trying to minmax a sweaty PvP build the race really isn't that important.

I have an imperial DK and Necro. Both are stam/weapon users. I also find Imperial stacks well with vampire, if your interested in that.

Yeah I PVE solo and what I am realizing is it really only matters to me what I pick. I can make any race work for PVE. Thanks! :)

I'd respec your Dark Elf to Magicka Dragonknight and use an Imperial for Stamin DK. Its arguably better this way.
I have one, too. And its a blast. Very good for all the rwasons, that have been layed out before.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.
