Bugged unread mails counter

I don't have that many unread. I promise. There are zero unread, and one player mail that was read but not deleted. And while I'm at it, i've noticed that if i cancel guild trader postings, then take the mail, the mail box will tell me i have that many undelivered emails and to wait. happens every time.

✭I've also been getting a similar mail bug. Sometimes, when I swap through my characters while doing writs, the "new mail" notification sound will play 2-3 times but the only thing there is one set of (5) Hireling mails. I claim all of the mail attachments and it shows my inbox is empty. Then a minute or so later I get another "new mail" notification sound and it shows (5) unread mails but my inbox is still empty. Re-zoning or re-logging seem to fix the invalid mail counter.2 -

✭I finally remembered to take a screenshot and show what my previous post was describing...
This morning I logged into this character, claimed their hireling mails (inbox is now empty) and did a set of crafting writs. Then when I was about to log out I got another new mail notification, but when I checked my inbox it's still empty even though the game shows (5) unread mails.
This doesn't happen all of the time, and I can't reproduce the problem because I don't know what causes it to happen.1
