A while ago I was posting about ESO absolutely overheating my laptop when I was able to play other games without much impact on my temps at all.
For example, I can play Fallout 76 at max settings and my laptop warms, but doesn't do its best to melt. Same with Baldur's Gate 3.
Then, oddly, magically, wonderfully, right after the Gold Road update, my computer started reacting to ESO just like all of the other games. Warm, but not 88-90 degree temps. I bumped up shadows again (to where I'd had them before a few years ago), ambient occlusion, sunlight rays. Nothing too crazy.
And it was lovely, until the very next patch. And all of a sudden, I'm back to ESO melting my machine when nothing else does. Baldur's Gate 3 gets close, but nowhere near as bad. My laptop gets to maybe 65 with Fallout 76. My laptop is built for gaming. I've repasted it, just to check for weird processes, everything's updated.
Anyway, posting this to see if anyone else noticed anything, and just to register that something happened with that first incremental patch after the update.
