No real answers after 2 months and several answers

Hey there,

After wanting to gift something to my girlfriend, i had to request access to the gifting feature, like alot of people had to.

AFTER 2 MONTHS this still isn't resolved. My account goes back to 2016, of course i played on and off, i bought several addons and alot of ESO+.

I only got automated answers or templated answers. Not a single answer which indicated that there was an actual person reading my messages.

EVEN AFTER 7 ANSWERS they still send seemingly automated messages or templates.

Honestly this feels like stealing, i bought ESO+ also because of the crowns you get, so i can gift my gf ( who is more active) a nice thing from time to time.

I get that scammers abused this system a while ago and blocking gifting seemed like the only choice, but not being able to give a specific answer to a ticket after 2 months is unacceptable.

I know you'd like a solution from ZOS and its not that but a suggestion but in the meantime (and you may have done this already) you can give her money to buy crowns. It's not the same as surprising someone with an item they weren't expecting but you could give her them money and a note saying you were thinking of getting xyz for her. Probably just the money because sometimes a person might prefer to choose what they get.

The gifting system can be abused in many ways unfortunately with people who are creepy sending unwanted gifts and people doing other nefarious things so I guess they have to be careful with it.

Thanks for the suggestion and i don't want to deflect such a thought in general, but i have alot of crowns sitting around. Why would we spend additionally money to buy her a gift? Also, before the gifting abuse incidents took place, gifting was just possible and accepted. Under that assumption a lot of people bought ESO+ and the crowns that come with it. For me the crowns in ESO+ are like 70% of the justification to spend the money.

The thing is that I bought the game a few years ago, but actively started playing not so long ago, but ... I play every day, I brought my friend to the game to whom I wanted to give dls for joint passage, but I am denied unlocking for the 5th time and responds to all my messages robot. Whatever clarifying questions I do not ask, I am answered that I am not active enough or something like that. I don't understand at all what they want from me, I wanted to give only 2 gifts from the crown store, not to give hundreds of thousands of everything. Appeal number 240723-001060

How long is "not so long ago"? If I remember, @ZOS_Kevin said somewhere that the change to gifting now requires active playing for 6 months or more. It's also unclear what "active" means, but I'm guessing there's a weekly hour requirement, so just logging in daily for 3 minutes to collect your daily reward and/or do daily writs, might not be considered "active" enough. Things to consider. Good luck.

So an account which exists for over 8 years, has activity on and off like 2 months active 2 months off, is basically a suspicious account? That have to be alot of accounts from vet players, who return for new content.

It is a social requirement. Not only is there a time criteria, but the account must be socially active in things like guilds over that time.

I log in and actively play most every day. I am in 2 trading guilds and 2 PVP guilds and spend hours weekly doing PVP. After a couple of ticket closures saying to play more I balked at that thought and opened a hounded them. I also took to the forums. The end solution was somehow my support/forum login wasn't correctly associated to my in game account. Which also explains why I've had issues with my support/forum login not matching to my in game login. After they figured that out I got gifting opened up.

all the requests are taken by a robot, so no one's really looking into it.

I'm in the same boat more or less. I'm an active player and my husband is not. However, he has a lot of crowns just sitting on his account from his last subscription that we would love to transfer to me. He hasn't had any luck getting gifting approved so far.

It's been so long since this issue started. It would be nice if one of the devs could give an update. Are they still doing anything to come up with a better solution, or is this what we're stuck with from now on?

No I play in dungeons and do quests, study the features of items and everything else, even belong to several guilds, as well as actively write here on the forum, which is one of the requirements, but no, I am not worthy.
