I keep randomly losing matches and it's getting really annoying. Sometimes it refuses to give me a chance to beat their prestige and it just ends in "Defeat." It seems extremely arbitrary.

    80 and above prestige is an automatic win.

    It should give you a banner warning and if you hover over the prestige counter (blue hexagon with the prestige number) it should have some text about it.

    Oh dang. I wish the game was better at communicating this. There's a ton of stuff that's just on a need-to-know basis and you only learn by losing or dying.

    You skipped dialogue with the gambling addict elf, didn't you? It is explained by him that 80 points means automatic win.
