What Happened to AD on Greyhost? It doesn't seem healthy for the campaign. Do we have too many cp campaigns now for the numbers playing?

At the same time AD was locked in Blackreach with low DC and low EP.

AD has several guilds/players that tend to wander to other campaigns. I haven't played there in a while but my guess is they got tired of the 24/7 EP horde on Gray Host and moved to Blackreach. That's what happened the last time anyway.

Meanwhile AD is great to play if you're smallscaling because you're always gonna find outnumbered fights.

AD wants to pvdoor empty keeps so they went to blackreach. Had seen this behavior for many years.

True. Just a few months ago it was Tinken and his DC zerg PvDooring entire Blackreach map daily.

EP are right behind, more people seem to gradually change to Blackreach now that the Covenant are catching up on the score in GH with the remaining EP relying on night capping to stay afloat. While the common denominator seem to be easy earnable AP and PvD, it still wouldn't surprise me if a vast majority seek to avoid ballgroups by migrating away from Greyhost in search for more decent fights.

The yellows went to Blackreach for some reason, only the red afk alliance and the blues remained.

Greyhost has more or less been abandoned because everyone was sick of 24/7 ball groups. And of course, the ball groups without their easy kills have now come to black reach to ruin yet another campaign for everyone else.

At this stage I don't believe ZOS gives a flying duck about the health of Cyrodil. If they did, they'd address ball groups, sorcs and all the other things people have been screaming about instead of the utterly useless changes that are coming next patch.

I hope Throne and Liberty does well and will scratch the pvp itch. It's not perfect but at least the devs listen to feedback and respond to it quickly instead of the experience here of being constantly ignored as a customer.

This stage started in 2016, if not earlier. I mean, Cyrodiil has always had problems, but at least in 2015 we had the introduction of IC and regular communication and acknowledgement of issues.

Through 2016 that started to change. By 1T, it was already an afterthought. It seems it was that year they quietly decided to put Cyrodiil on life support, giving it only infrequent minor attention a couple of times a year, if that, since.

Yea I agree with you. What frustrates me most is that Cyrodill has an absolutely great foundation, really great sieges, a feeling of a proper war etc. The fact that they've let it just stagnate and devolve into the mess it is, I find a travesty. There's no pride left in the work. That on top of being a second class customer despite paying for sub/crowns like everyone else just leaves a bad taste.

I think that the real issue is DC. They seem to population stack in both GH & Ravenwatch. I mean (at least on PC EU) DC faction, for whatever reason seems to have like 50% more players than other two. I would not be surprised if at some point some EP & AD players simply switched sides and mained DC. Most streamers and ball groups seems to stick to DC. And while it not something illegal to do or anything like this, it is causing some huge PvP Cyro balance issues. Like, it does not matter what class or set is the most OP or broken one. For as long as there are PvP Core balance issue like this and ZOS won't address it with some gentle changes, I don't think PvP in this game will matter and it is not "weird" why it is dying.

Imagine if you could just, swap alliance.

You have to guess at the start of the month who will shift faction and if you get it wrong then that month sucks.

PC EU Ravenwatch the community is dying outside of DC not due to population stacking, but on account of 5-6 blue players who dominate and crush the map. How they do it is up to interpretation. Could very well be that they're just living in ESO and awesome good at PvP, or it could be something else. But everyone in AD and EP has gotten bored with it.

Yeah. Many people wanted that... but back then when this change was introduced, I was at the "opposite camp" that basically said:
"Don't do it. It will make experience worse as it will be hyper easy for people to "flock" to whatever side is winning".

I guess it was probably one of the worst changes done to PvP in ESO. And of course it gets at least 10x worse during PvP events when there is double AP.

ZOS made a terrible mistake & they just assumed that people will play nicely like some kind of gentleman who follow moral compass.

What devs (unfortunately) faild to understand is that players are like children and without any supervision they will do horrible things and exploit everything that can be abused lol.

DC on Ravenwatch (EU) is usually outnumbered, especially in the evening (Midyear Mayhem is an exception). Before EP lost motivation due to lack of success within this campaign, they were always in the majority. AD holds up well and can mobilize a lot of players, especially in prime time, but is undermanned at other times of the day.
