Ink from netch and baby netch

I think luminous ink should be a more regular drop from netch and baby netch, similar to how mother of pearl is found in giant clams. It just makes sense.

And like the poor fur seals and the whales, there goes the population of netches. Baby netch! Have a heart!

I’ve always thought torchbugs should drop ink. What else is making them light up if it’s not luminous ink?

    Make it so, ZOS.

It doesn't make sense. A netch is not an octopus or squid. Netches don't even attack with ink. They could probably be considered closer to jellyfish, which do not produce ink.

Now maybe from creatures that live in Apocrypha, that makes more sense.

After they add them to chests and heavy sacks, I think everything will. Here is what I have gotten ink from.

Mobs and boss kills - check
    Resource nodes - check
Mudcrabs - check (so are we sure they can't come from other wildlife?)
Dressers, backpacks, and urns - check (no barrels yet, but I would imagine they come out of barrels)
    Chests - being added
    Heavy sacks - being added

I'm not sure what is left for them to come from in the PvE environment. PvP, obviously, does not have quite as many options since player kills don't drop them as far as I know.

pvp has 0 options for ink

no pvp activity gives ink that i know of

only the "pve" activities in pvp zones can give ink (harvesting nodes in cyro, killing NPCs in cyro/IC)

the drop rate for existing sources is also so bad too, but thats a different issue than sourcing

And that's fine. Players in PvP are earning different things, including the ever elusive book that comes out of battlegrounds worth nearly a billion, or possibly more than a billion gold. PvP players sell their PvP items to buy PvE items and vice versa.

and how are pvpers supposed to use scribe skills with no ink drops? buy it from you? i do not buy consumable items period, ill farm for them if the drop rates are reasonable

the only stuff im willing to buy at all from guild stores are 1 time purchases: motifs, furnishing plans, and provisioning recipes if they are reasonably priced

I would be perfectly fine if they added ink to Rewards of the Worthy, to the IC quest rewards, to the BG rewards (not sure what you get from those as I don't ever do BG's), to the Cyro daily reward crates, etc. I am in favor of ink dropping from everything, but as it already drops from a lot of things in PvE and that is still not enough for most people, I would prefer if they just increased the drop rate across the board instead of trying to figure out other items for ink to rarely drop from.

the sourcing im not as worried about, its the drop rate thats what puts people off of it

while it can drop from most things in pve, even though 85% of my playtime is pve i still hardly get any ink whatsoever

in the past 12 days ive gotten 2 units of ink from drops while i was running trials last weekend, that is literally all of the ink ive seen in the time span of almost 2 weeks

ive tried farming nodes too, and maybe if im lucky ill get 1 drop in 45-60 minutes of hardcore node farming
