Incapacitating Strike did not need any buff whatsoever imo, Consuming Darkness and morph definately does, its not used in pvp at all. Its useless in its current form. A whole rework please.

Having Consuming Darkness provide some rare group buffs/debuffs would go a long way to improving NB's bad situation in PvE. Like Sorcerer provides Major Berserk or Necro provides Major Vuln, allowing Nightblade to offer Major Brittle might add more options for the group. Consuming Darkness now is a completely degraded version of Glyphic of the Tides (and comparing the two just makes me laugh)

By the way, Incapacitating Strike's Reave was removed and its enhanced version is barely used in PvE for obvious reasons, so I'm more inclined to call this change a tweak than a buff

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I remember when zos said "we're planning to re-work less used morphs" meanwhile this ultimate hasn't been touched in forever

Why run that ultimate when you can just throw this skill on…

    kn0ri5cp6hxf.jpeg

… and get an Ultimate-level buff passively just for slotting it.

I have tried for over five years to convince zos to improve bolstering darkness, good luck convincing them. They seem to be not willing to move a single millimeter towards changing it.

It's not that bad.... you can use it to balance the health passive on your back bar if you use cloak and spammable on your front bar at the expense of minor protection while you are on your back bar, or an extra trick from the shadow tree.

That totally shouldn't be the only use for an ultimate ability, but there could be a niche for being able give your whole team a few seconds of invisibility before or in the middle of a fight.

One morph could give a hot and major protection and be intended for defensive/escape use. The other could give a berserk and expedition and be intended to set up whole team ganks. Now that would be a fun ult.

    This.

It wasn't a "buff" per se. Their hand was basically forced because they decided to rework Siphoning Strikes. You can see how they started there, then went.. "Oh crap, we can't let NBs get 300 mag/stam a second with Reeve from Incap and Siphoning Attacks, better adjust that too."

    Where they then decided this:
To help differentiate these morphs more, we’re moving away from both of them granting a passive and active effect, and instead splitting them up. Soul Harvest will now focus more on its passive effect of printing Ultimate in high kill count situations, while Incapacitating Strike doubles down on saving up extra Ultimate for devastating bonuses in the moment of its cast.

And of course, they just love handing out free passive effects for NB because casting skills or light attack weaving is just way too hard.

Is this the 3rd effect? 4th now? I'm losing track.

4th I believe, the third being the proposed change to siphoning attacks.
    1. Spec bow gaining stacks and providing damage from those stacks on either bar
    2. Major Prophecy/Savagery on either bar for slotting cloak
    3. Siphoning attacks healing and sustain on either bar (proposed)
    4. Ulti gain on either bar (proposed)

Looking at it laid out like that, that's completely absurd, that's an entire skill lines worth of passives (that basically are active for simply existing) being tacked on and made available at all times.

I wouldn't mind it but they don't give all other classes those same benefits.

yeah, if all classes got that sort of additional power, most wouldn't mind so much.

It should become the high area AoE ult, like a 15 meter radius. Would be awesome to have that kind AoE somewhere

It needs a decent rework on all aspect, thing i've been calling out for for the last 8-9 combat changes now

    Veil of blade

It needs a significant buff to its AOE size to make up for by entirely negated by double tapping a movement key (while on its sorc negate could also get the same treatment)

The damage component is quite bad, but havent used it on a DD since a long time so cant tell how good/bad it can be, damage could be buffed or nerfed but made into oblivion type

The synergy should reflect the morph offensive nature and deal damage and/or force pull people even outside the AOE back to its center while doing extra damage like that set I cant recall the name you get from PVP whenever you cast an AOE skill

Bolstering darkness is litteraly NO different than the base skill with what it does "extra" and needs to be fully redone

The AOE like the name implies should BOLSTER something other than crippling depression from sloting it, as example make it give a skill cost reduction and/or give a significant cost reduction to block/dodge

The synergy could grant ressource back with a smaller healing component with a self synergy option

True, but there's no way anyone at Zos even remembers that this skill even exists. Just like all the other class skills that serve no purpose anywhere.

Yeah but it's just a 5 meter radius, kinda useless. I have to assume you are pointing out the damage morph to say that would be OP, likely in PvP yes, but it can simply deal low damage then amplified to monsters.

Idk. But anyway yeah it needs a buff or rework for sure, and I just LOVE the idea of turning a large area into shadow

    - Make it a null field. Never see sorcs us it. Give it us.

    - Could take it off the ground and make it follow the player around.
Here $15, goat mount please. Not gambling or paying 45 : lol :
20% base speed for high ping players.
Streak moves you faster then speed cap.
They should of made 4v4v4v4 instead of 8v8.

It's actually 5th. Minor expedition on concealed weapon will also work on both bars passively.

You can even consider it as 6th if You also include minor protection from other morph of cloak.

It's pretty funny that whole idea of skills having passive buffs for slotting that work on both bars was introduced with arcanist with one oh his abilities and 9 months later nightblade will have whole skill bar of abilities like that.

That is actually absurd, that is basically 1.5 skill lines worth of free passives, or an additional 3rd bar worth of skills that NB has for free with these (Remember when Sorc had a 3rd bar all those years ago which required slotting an ultimate for and it still got deleted).

Craziest thing is, most players would even be accepting of this if the buffs were limited to PvE only lol.
