Champion Points

I'm a veteran ESO player, however, since they introduced this champion point system I haven't been able to get to grips with it. Although I have loads of points that are still mounting up I seemingly have nowhere left to put them. There are of course places in the bottom sections where they could go. But all the top sections are filled? I feel my characters could be fast and stronger etc if I new how to deploy the points better. Has anyone got any ideas or solutions or can point me to somewhere that I can get more information?

Well, you're suppose to put all your champions points in bonuses you don't slot to be able, when needed, to switch some. Like in specific trials etc.

So yes, in a way your not more powerful anymore, but it makes your build more versatile.

    Hi BlackRaidho

Thanks for responding. Although I am aware or savvy enough to understand that Champion Points can be spent in three different constellations: the Craft group, the Warfare group, and the Fitness group. With each of these have a general theme. But once you do this. You still keep getting Champion Points and I am at a lost as to what I'm supposed to do with them.

You say..."...your not more powerful anymore"

But apparently you should be able to be, it's about choices. And when you reach the veteran level there are other things you should be able to do.

"ESO Champion Point Cap. The new cap for the Champion Point System is now 3600, up from 810. This represents a total of 1200 Champion Points available in each of the three primary Constellations."

Are you talking about the slotted CP stars? Like War Mount or Rationer?

I'm over 2200 CP. For an example, I have a PVE Arcanist where I filled up Thaumaturge, Biting Aura, Wrathful Strikes, and Deadly Aim and slotted those on the Champion Bar from the Blue constellation. I also filled up Fighting Finesse and Exploiter and can swap that in and out with Deadly Aim on the bar depending on the content. On the Red constellation I filled up and slotted Boundless Vitality, Fortified, Bloody Renewal, and Rejuvenation, but I also filled up Slippery and Spirit Mastery to swap if needed. Same kind of thing with the Green constellation for thing like mount speed and fishing.

I think what @BlackRaidho was getting at is that you can use your excess points in this way so you can redistribute them without paying the gold cost every time you need to change specs without using the Armory

You are aware that many CP bonuses are passive? Some CP stars require "slotting" up top to work, other CP bonuses are granted just by putting points into them, with no need to slot. The tooltip of the star should mention whether you need to slot the star or not.

    For example:

Arcane Supremacy = 26 max magicka per stage; 50 stages = 1300 max magicka possible; must be slotted to gain the max magicka

Eldritch Insight = 260 max magicka per stage; 2 stages = 520 max magicka possible; no need to slot as you gain the max magicka just from putting points into the star

So, you should always put points into Eldritch Insight as it is essentially "free resources". Arcane Supremacy would depend more on whether you feel it is worth putting among the 4 slottable stars and the opportunity cost of what you would remove to make room for it in the slottable spots.

    Yes, that's my point :)
