QUEST: stuck at start of The Corrupted Stone

I talked to Qasna at-Toura and got the quest The Corrupted Stone. First step says talk to Erold, but he wont respond to me. I did some googling and found an old thread about his non response and a dev linked a workaround, but the linked page is no longer there. I also found a uesp page about Erold (not about this quest tho) which says after you finish The Missing Guardian he moves and becomes unresponsive, and yea I have done that quest. Does this mean I cant do The Corrupted Stone? That would suck since this is the quest that gives you a nirnhoned item to research on. Is there a workaround for this?

Nevermind. Turns out there is a duplicate Erold upstairs in the Tavern. He talks.

Try abandoning the quest and then picking it back up. You can also try logging out for about 15min and then logging back in to see if things have reset. Those are normally the go to workaround for items like this. If those do not work, please place a ticket in for this quest so that we can have out team look and fix this. We'll also pass this along to our teams for investigation.
