Did Tales of Tribute just create new lore for the franchise?

There is something regarding that card that I don't quite understand.

I read that Morihaus and Alessia's relationship gave the fruit of a new race, the Minotaurs and that was Belharza the Man-Bull, the first and only known child by name of Alessia and Morihaus.

So who exactly are the Minotaur archer's depicted on the card?

Is one Morihaus and the other Belharza? What about the third? They all look quite mature.

And what ever happened to Morihaus? Did he have other kids maybe? Even if Belharza was his and Alessia's only named child and they actually had many, it seems unlikely that they would have been able to have so many kids that they could go on to perpetuate the race of Minotaurs that still exists.

I doubt that this all is contradictory to someone who really knows the lore, but I did find it all sort of strange. There just started to be minotaurs one day and, supposedly, one of them is the offspring of a human. Weird! I'll chose to believe that Morihaus and the rest were just products of spontaneous generation.

Morihaus was lovers with Alessia and Belharza was their kid, yes, but that was centuries ago so the species has had time to proliferate by the Second Era. Belharza was Alessia’s heir, so it isn’t like someone could have gone ‘Ah! Monster!’ and murdered him in cold blood, he’d have had bodyguards and such and by extension time to have kids of his own.

Tl:dr this isn’t new. It’s been in there since at least Gold Coast.

There are a couple of things that I don't quite understand.

There isn't really the established lore, as far as I've seen, to show what happens to Morihaus. So although him and a mature Belharza could be together on a card, I'm left wondering about the 3rd minotaur depicted. Unless Alessia and Morihaus had other Minotaur kids which seems unlikely, the 3rd Minotaur depicted must be from at least the 3rd generation of Minotaur.

The theory of spontaneous generation obviously applies to Morihaus because he just showed up one day thanks to Kyne's doings. But it's repeated in some places that Alessia and Morihaus gave birth to a race by having just Belharza.

So did both man-bull have a bunch of kids with other humans? If they didn't have a ton of kids, then I don't see how there could still be Minotaurs after thousands of years. But I don't find documentation or Morihaus having other relationships. Belharza's offspring, I don't see discussed at all.

The theory that Minotaurs just came into being from alchemy ends up making more sense to me since I don't see how just a couple of Minotaurs could give rise to an entire race of Minotaurs without the pheneotype of the Minotaurs changing drastically and becoming more human over time or without issues that may happen due to inbreeding.

That all said, I suppose that doubts could be put aside since Morihaus is a magical being to begin with. Alessia doesn't even seem to have been queen for that long and yet minotaurs were loyal to the empire! How many could have sprang to being and become mature for war, especially by birth in such a short time?

I feel like this is a symbolic representation by Caledonia (or the in-universe creators of the art). We don't have a confirmation on the origins of minotaurs or how many there might really have been during the Alessian rebellian.

Just from a quick browse, there's so much we don't know ...
    • In the Songs of Pelinal, Morihaus is both implied to be a full bull but also referred to as a man-bull. So what's up with that
    • I don't see why Morihaus, Belharza, and further descendants couldn't all be alive at the same time
    • We don't know whether there were other minotaur ada
    • Even the writer claiming that minotaurs came into being as a result of Morihaus and Belharza says that we don't know what the origin is
    • We don't know whether minotaurs pre-date the Alessian empire, and the legend of Morihaus is about demigods interbreeding with mortals

What interests me more is what legend Caledonia would be referring to. Clearly one that sees him as a man-bull, but also one where some among his legions are also minotaurs. I would listen to a lecture by her about Morihaus legends and art lol.
