I couldn't resist the Dwarven Sphere Chop once I saw it, because I have a fondness for Dwemer constructs (I've been using Razak's Opus since 2014). I finally got to try it out in the field today, and just felt bad for the little thing. I summon it, the wood disappears, and then it swings its blade. It's like I snatched the wood away from it before it got a chance to shine.
And I've noticed this is a recurring issue with pretty much every alternative harvesting animation: Master Harvester just never seems to get properly taken into account. For example, the woodcutting animation I used prior to this, the Karth River Cleave, animates well enough - but then the axe remains in your hand for the full duration of a normal harvest, rather than disappearing when it should. For Icefist Runegathering, the runestone in question will disappear just before the punch makes contact. With Gyrfalcon Gathering, Bound Pickaxe Strike, and others, your upper body gets stuck in the animation even though you already have the materials - this is especially noticeable at survey locations, where harvesting in quick succession causes the animation to loop weirdly.
For each of these, there are previews of the animation for Harvesting and Master Harvesting, so clearly some effort was made to sync the animations up to the different timings properly, but I'm sad to say they've all fallen short of the mark. Any chance of these getting tweaked in the future?
