I've thought for a while now that ESO housing would become so much more interesting if we could add gaps/spaces to furniture items, i.e. place into a house an item which is hollow (e.g. an archway, or perhaps just a box with one of its sides left open), such that the hollow item creates a space in whatever item the hollow item is inserted into.
e.g. you might create, inside a wall, an archway through which a character could walk, by placing the hollow archway item inside the wall item. Or you might want to add a new doorway into a house, then place one of the interactable door items in the new doorway. Another use might be to create alcoves inside walls.
This is probably just an unreal dream, as it would probably involve some fundamental changes to how furniture items interact with each other, but it just sounded like an interesting idea, so I thought I'd share it.
