Extend FOV

The default 130 is not wide enough. I'm used to playing wow where you can extend way beyond this. This is giving me a head ache. Several years ago, we had a guide where you could change this in the eso program like you can do in wow. Can someone post this? Or can Zenimax consider changing it to a a wider setting? I have seen multiple players ask. FOV is so much wider in other games. I'm going to have to give this game up if it can't be wider.

Just thought about that I have upgraded monitor to 3x larger and much higher quality resolution. Making it seem too close without the extended FOV maybe?

If you're talking about the field of view in the first-person view, I agree that everything seems too close and "in your face," with too little peripheral vision. Are you saying there is, or used to be, a guide showing how to increase the field of view? If so, that would be awesome!

Yeah we used to go into part of the eso program and change FOV. I had the instructions on how to do this. I think this was around 2018. The GM of the guild I was in knew how to do it. He left game and I left for a while too. Came back and I can't find it.

Does anyone remember how? It was somewhere in the programming. (I hope it was legal, we used it for over 2 years)

Guess it's dead for some years already, it probably was this: https://www.nexusmods.com/elderscrollsonline/mods/87?tab=posts

Edit: didn't looked up the website itself, might be just there now or something.

I'm not sure if you are talking about first or third person view, or both. But i am not happy with my 3rd person view on Playstation. Even when maxed out it's just way too close. And there is a very strange thing going on. Sometimes i can not zoom out as far as i am used to. Opening the ingame menu and closing it gives me back the ability to zoom out the few extra meters again.

I play in 3rd person. We used to modify something. At one time, I found this on forums. I used it like 2 years from 2016 to 2018. My gm left game and he had the instructions on discord. He left game. I came back to game and updates changed the modification.

It was somewhere in the program files. I tried changing FOV in settings, but nothing worked. In WOW you type this /console CameraSettingsMaxZoomFactor = 4 (changed from 1). It gives you a helicopter view.

I think my problem since returning is this really large curved monitor. It makes everything seem much closer. I need to widen out FOV. I played WOW about 6 months and really got used to that wide view.

I hope developers will see this. It wouldn't be hard to extend FOV from 130. I would guess something like 400 would be really good.
