Q: We’d like to be able to get empty plots of existing player houses, or the ability to “remove” the house from the plot. Is that something you might consider?
A: Interesting suggestion! Historically, the empty plots aren’t nearly as popular as the houses; that said, we will pass this suggestion along to the Housing team for consideration.

On the contrary, everyone I've ever talked to in any of my housing guilds has expressed a desire to have more than one Moon Sugar Meadow because it was so popular. We like having a big open space to make our own creations. Before the Meadow, it was Coldarbour Surreal Estate.

So please don't think we don't want such a thing, because those of us who view Housing as their primary feature want more housing properties like them very much. I don't think the statistics of those who have no interest designing their own homes should be the only ones you should market to.

Here are a couple of suggestions (I've been a guild leader for seven years, and an officer for a trade guild for six):

Regarding an inactive leader, there is a major discrepancy that should be addressed. It's possible to request that leadership be changed after the leader has been inactive for 60 days, but the Guild Finder listing is automatically de-activated after 30 days.

These numbers shouldn't be so different - it's challenging enough for the remaining officers of a trade guild to deal with everything when the leader vanishes for a month or two. It makes it a LOT harder when there's a gap between the 30 days absent and 60 days absent, that the Guild Finder is de-activated, and anything that can only be done by the leader, just can't be accessed at all. (Even if the leader would have set such things to be able to be handled by the rest of the team - some things cannot be.)

My second request, and this shouldn't be so hard, is about guild member notes. There are two settings for them: A role cannot edit them at all, or can edit EVERYONE'S. With no history kept, so there's not even a record if someone abuses that.

Why is there no option for a person to be able to edit only their own note?

    Thanks.

@ZOS_Kevin Why do these kind of things feel so safe? Like you have to be aware there's a lot of questions and concerns around performance and their surrounding projects - where are those things and why aren't they ever really brought up in such a format?

Re: Guild Halls, one issue we've run into is the inability to transfer ownership of attuned crafting sets, mundus stones, the transmute station, etc. -- I realize these are bound furnishings, but when the officer who was hosting the guild hall abruptly left the guild, all the millions upon millions of gold and hours we all spent on getting attunable stations was down the toilet and we had to start building up the sets all over again. It's been an extremely slow and frustrating process that would have been easily solved with the ability to transfer ownership of a bound item. And, actually, it would be nice to be able to transfer ownership of any bound item (i have a lot of bound furnishings I'd love to get rid of). Any way to make that happen?

Ran onto this myself when former GM left the game.

It was a painful expense, that took me over a year to recover from.

One housing improvement I'd like to see is to be able to remove grass. Too many times I've had to move where I want to build (which can greatly restrict the available area) Raising a platform high enough so that the grass isn't waving through means my character can't jump onto it, and any steps then have said grass waving through. Please give us a handmower...!
I'd also like to see an Alfiq decon assistant, and a Fennorian house guest... and if we could also have survey assistants that would be awesome.

Having a guild hall does not prevent that — I ran into similar situations more than once in SWTOR. Ultimately, everything is under the GM’s control, all finances, property, membership, etc.

I actually prefer this about ESO. Many players collect the crafting stations, mundus stones, etc. and make their houses open for guild members and that’s great. Gifts of such should only ever be considered gifts to a person, because that’s what it is and ESO makes that. People may leave or, in both SWTOR and ESO, decide to close/end/empty/whatever their guild, and then the assets are equally lost to any players who may have contributed to them.
