✭✭✭✭Originally "rapid maneuvers" was castable then it got changed to be passive, doubt if they'll change it back. 🙂

✭✭✭✭✭Making it an optional passive was a major QoL improvement — no longer wasting a spot on the bar, but players who were happy with their current mount speed are unaffected (or can try it and then respec if desired).
Now I think castable rapids is just used for scroll running and even for speed-running dungeons.1 -

✭I think their (zos) motivation for changing it to a passive was performance (same for everything else the last few years...): prior to that, players were recasting it every 30s initially then every 8s after it was nerfed.
Now, as mentioned previously, the skill is pretty much useless. And unused.0 -
