These Q times are getting outrageous. Log on at 5pm it’s a 1hr wait and all of us are locked in for 30days.

BR is only viable for about 3hrs a day then it becomes vacant.

It would also make for a lot more action again. This is one of the few things that would bring me back to eso. I've been mmo-less for awhile now.

-First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

-Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.
    ________________
-In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.

It feels like ZOS is slowly phasing Cyrodiil PvP out of the game. Original pop cap was 600/faction. Now it's about 60/faction. How else are we to interpret this decline in the pop cap? And they never tell us when they make the reduction to the population.

If ZOS wanted to remove the Alliance War from the game, they would just do it by converting Cyrodiil to a PVE zone. Any outrage from the minuscule AvA playerbase would be drowned out by the celebration of PVE players. It would be a popular move that would probably save them money. So it's insane to think it's a conspiracy when they don't need to conspire. The reality is that they probably lose money on AvA as it has so few players and adds no value to probably 99.9% of ESO players.

Obviously the cap was lowered to address performance issues because they decided, many years ago, not to invest the resources necessary to solve the underlying technical issues. When the cap was 600 players per faction, the game was basically unplayable poplocked. And back then, almost no one knew how to play, so the average APM was much lower than it is today.

In traditional MMO terms, Cyrodiil is on "life support".

one server is pop locked, while on the other the leading faction with 5 players takes over the whole map in prime time. ZOS should rather come up with something for the no procc no cp server

    This.

The performance is about the same so why not just have huge epic fights with terrible lag and performance? Better than the 20v20 with terrible lag and performance.

Cyro is dead for a while now with this pop cap. I really enjoyed the pop cap testing and would love having it back.

Some days it’s a 80plus q on Tuesdays. You can’t q for anything else in the meantime because it’ll bug your Cyro Q.

Work late. Turn on. 1.25hr Q. Crash then locked out. 1.25hr Q

Ya, it's really bad times for those of us who love ESO for the PvP. Since about 2019 ZOS has done nothing but pare down and reduce resources devoted to Cyrodiil, both in terms of dev time and server resources.

We knew, but regen was low, we could not spam skills as in the later years. Especially 2014 noob campaign was largely campaign of autoattacking and shooting ballistas, because one was out of mana after four skills. Needless to say it was not as laggy as contemporary standard campaigns or anything after that, and great fun.

If I'm gonna lag like crazy with 30v30 but still play. I'd be perfectly happy to play & lag in 300v300.

Agreed. Considering that according to ZoS there are 22 million players using resources to satisfy 600 doesn't add up financially to expand the server capacity when according to other ZoS posts they have had to take resources from some things to add new things like Arcanists etc. PVP is all I do anymore for the most part though and the wait times week days suck and the weekends well I might as well not even try to log in.

Servers can barely handle the number of players that get into Cyro now, lol.

Its not, they have layered aoe apon aoe apon aoe over the years on a poor game engine that they have been hacking away at for 10 years because they either don't have access to the core code, don't have the skills or don't want to spend the money to replace the engine properly.
