Be able to "mark items for research"

Hi,

researching traits takes a lot of time, and I have around 20 to 30 items waiting to be researched.
Thing is, every time I come back from a mission I have to check again and again which item I can deconstruct or keep.
I made a list , but it's still painful to find and search them .

So it could be nice to mark them "for research" so that they don't appear anymore in the deconstruct tab.

what do you think ?

I just put things I want for research in my bank, that way I see either the chest logo or the bag one.

But have to say using a bit of brain every now and then does us no harm either.

The is an addon that allows you to add a padlock icon to any item. It wont prevent you from selling or deconning it but it will stay marked so you know its special.

there is also a research assistant addon (name might be different) that checks items v that toons research and marks those that need yet to be researched.
suppose it might compare agaisnt all toons, but i doubt that.

(i use 1 toon to hold all my research stuff so once i pull out any researchable items, i an decon the rest without worry.)

I never saw this icon before ! Thank you.
I will not comment about the "brain" thing though...

the addon only helps you with the character you are on though, if you want to use it for more character there is an grid addon as well, it will show your characters and which research they have done as well as what they are working on

I just put my excess research items on an alt account. I use the account as a holder of sorts. I don't really play the character. After I'm done researching items on my main, I'll have my holder put some research items in the bank for my main character to continue research.

Yeah I wanted to do that but I already have an alt for the food and alchemy, an alt for stacks (100) of everything, an alt for low level resources , and an alt that I actually play lol.

If you are serious about crafting Research Assistant and Research Grid are must have add ons.
