Partial Polymorphs

Would it be possible to make partial polymorphs? Ones that don't effect the entire body, that way you can still have some originality yet still change up your character. I was thinking about how Sotha Sil's arm is a clockwork prosthetic. I think that would be a fun clockworky change to a character without completely turning them into a factoum machine. I'm sure there are plenty of other options that would work well too. What are your thoughts? Are the character models limited from that level of alteration?

I think this is a really great idea.

The main reason I never use polymorphs is because of how they completely change the size and dimensions of my character.

My biggest wish, as far as this type of thing goes, has always been to have something like the Wild Hunt Transform as a polymorph. I would so love that! It transforms you into something really neat, while still keeping your character unique to you with the underlying details of character creation.

Seeing how things like that are currently implemented, it sure seems like it would be possible.

Partial options, like you described, would be really neat, too!

I really hope they have more options with these in the future that aren’t so clunky and limiting.

Sotha Sil's arm looks like a part of a costume/outfit (like Apostles' body parts). I guess the whole point of polymorphs is to completely change character's model, and for partial changes we have only outfits.

it would be awesome if we could have clockwork or dwemer automaton limbs.

i used to use apostle greaves but it doesn't work with every outfit style. and i wanna use Apostle jerkin or cuirass for the arms but not the entire chest style
    miaow! i'm Luna ( she/her ).

Can my character have wolf ears and tail in human form?

Reviving this thread since it is a great idea.

The dwemer limbs idea I love. I can also see little things like forehead horns, lower body horse / deer legs, tails, wolf ears, etc. little additions to further express our characters in finer yet bolder detail. Maybe not a "half-polymorph" type of addition (except for lower half body one and such like those, but maybe a separate category in appearance called... hmmm... "body mods"?

    working title I suppose, lol

but with this comes the next demand, "Can we change the color of these mods / morphs?" Players, including myself for sure, will want to change the color of fur, hooves, horns, scales, etc that come with the half-polymorph to better coordinate with their fashion. Considering how we can't already do that with the existing morphs, and instead we receive different variants of morphs (ex. the titans [i believe they're called that?]), we will most likely receive different styles of said mods / morphs. Eventually leading to yet another long list in our collections.

No bother to me personally either way. I am curious on what ZOS may think of this type of idea. They're definitely not shy on the price tags in the crown store, this could be another big-ticket item for them to the right crowd if released in a cosmetic pack for 1,000 crowns rather than individually for 40 gems or 300 crowns.
