700 furnishing capacity is not good enough for Sword Singers housing area.

Well, thanks for giving us fantastic free notable house. That'll stimulate player's creation heart so much.
But, consider huge vacant "empty" zone of that housing area, I can't do enough decoration by
current ESO housing object design. Simply I need more housing capacity for it. Do you think that
capacity is enough or not?

700 is the limit for traditional furnishings.
we know this and can work with it if we remember it.

zos absolutely knows we want higher furnishing limits. if it is possible for them to do then we get it eventually.

Until then i happily furnish this and any other homes with the current limits.

The house/plot has so much potential, but in this case half (if not more) will remain unused... unfortunately. I'll have to put most of my ideas on file.

It's kind of hilarious watching the reaction to the new free house.

I guess plenty of folks who don't really do housing much are suddenly realising that in wuch a massive area 700 slots is nowhere near enough to do everything they may want to do.

Meanwhile the housing community has been working to the limits for years now, while simultaenously occassionally piping up to wonder if limits will ever increase. I for one don't mind working to the limits, it presents a unique challenge for every housing plot and some of the things people achieve by blocking off areas or re-skinning are nothing short of stunning.

But I wouldn't be surprised if ZoS are wishing they had released a smaller plot.

That is ... unless the secret announcement is more furnishing slots!!! :o

I can't remember why they said increasing the limit isn't easy but I do wish they'd try to find a way to make it happen. These notables are very difficult to flesh out. It's actually one of the reasons I would prefer they make smaller houses more.

More would be great, but you can certainly create a magnificent build with 700 — the key is to either use only a portion of the area, or leave parts more spartan or furnished only with larger pieces, with only select areas more densely furnished.

The large outdoor area and the inside caves do not have to have to be completely filled. I plan to furnish the underground rooms and the outdoor central area and just add some vegetation to the rest.

The whole point of using these houses is to customise them and make them your own creation. The current furniture limit makes this very difficult because, as Araeae6537 already mentioned, you're forced to leave some parts barely/not modified.

There's only 2 actual rooms and the mine area looks fairly spectacular already.

I might try replacing the wood in the mine area which would chew up a few slots but again there's only a few spaces which natively beg to be treated and furnished as rooms.

    Maybe throw in some mushrooms.

Also don't be shy about trashing low impact furnishings.

I find that many homes come with lots of low impact furnishings like small rocks or bushes which really don't add a lot of value.

I always check to see if they're replaceable. Like if they were crown store only and something I might ever use I'd drop it off at a storehouse. But usually they're cheap vendor or craftables.

Current ESO housing object is "too much big" or "too much small". Or too much divided

This is why I like to use the EHT addon.

There's a lot of "furnishings" included, paintings, tons of effects, etc and they take up no slots.

ZOS already stated before no more slots can be added as it affects performance.

Perhaps one day it will be increased, until then we have to live with it.

Its amazing what you can do by removing some of the included items with other more practical items that create the feeling of a more filled space

like specifically for your example the Elsweyr bread basket:

I voted 1000, but realistically just increasing it to 800 would be enough to take the pressure off. Like others have said, though, in the absence of a slot increase, it's just a matter of furnishing creatively. Those who aren't used to notable houses come in wanting to completely clutter the place up like a smaller house, and unfortunately that's just not possible.

Yea, I know, and good point. We already have some suitable decoration object for the crafting theme.

But, we still don't have handy general structure model. There're too many of size regulation.
Some of them are too big or too much thick or too much small. From my Fallout4 settlement building
experience, ESO housing parts is bit inconvenient impression for me. Making idealized size of wall or
roof need much of furnishing count, because it's made from multiple parts mostly. If we have more united
"handy" regulation ruled structure parts, then we can save furnishing count more effectively.

    For example...

I've leaned heavily in the opposite direction.

I hadn't intended to make a serious start on this one yet but I began last night, couldn't stop and got most of one cavern done.

Had to buy some recipes and mats so my wallet is stinging but my broad plan has worked out well and without needing a huge amount of furnishings.

There's a tricky spot in the other cavern I need to deal with though so I won't post any screenshots until that's dealt with. If I can't then I need to come up with a completely different design.

What bothers me with this place (house) is that the towers are not usable, and you need to get very creative to access the top. But other than this minor issue, the house is amazing.

I really like the idea of a trade hub, and the underground lake/cavern.

There is a lot to do, especially underground. I am considering adding a Dwemer castle underground, with all sorts of pipes going up towards the surface and continuing there to power some machinery.

Regarding the question... I get why the devs want to keep this limit, but in my opinion, hardware has evolved a lot in 10 years that even the cheapest gaming laptops can handle ESO.

My suggestion is to have some kind of system to upgrade houses via quests/gold/crowns/seals so if we really want more slots/areas, we could pay for them. This way they don't have to increase the cap for everyone. Also, upgrading the limit for certain collectibles, such as house guests is really needed.

So, if I want 100 more slots, I can upgrade the limit with crowns for example. I would also like a way to customize certain parts of a house, like I don't want the underground, and save all the slots taken by candles and plants in the cave, or I want to upgrade the towers to functional ones, and so on.

My issue with housing right now is how ridiculously expensive and grindy the system is. A player needs millions of gold to fully decorate a 700 slots house. The required mats are expensive and it takes ages to gather enough of them for each craft. Right now, I find heartwood the most annoying to farm, probably deco wax too, but maybe because I don't need it so much like wood and runes. I really hope for a housing overhaul in autumn that will make the system more enjoyable. I am playing since beta. I have houses that I have bought 2 years ago, and still haven't got enough resources to finish the decorating job. I would rather sell the house than keep it unfinished for years.

Need double capacity for it (1400).
    On the ground =700.
    Underground cave =700
    Then "1400" size is reasonable.

If I can make custom model like the traditional Bethesda game title Mod,
then I can do only within 700, but I can't do it with ESO environmental art asset.
    My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
