Can't Repair Siege to 100% for Stacking

For anyone else who thought it was a big-brain strat to repair all of those old siege engines to full now that undamaged siege can be stacked, it looks like it won't be possible as long as we have to place siege in Cyrodiil to repair. In the time it takes to pack the siege up, no matter how quickly it's done after the last repair, it ticks down to 99% and is therefore unstackable in inventory.

So I guess this can be both a PSA and a request to ZOS to please give us a way to apply repair kits to siege in our inventory, so a) we don't have to go into Cyro and clown around with placing and picking up siege to repair, and b) all of those old sad siege engines can join their friends in their nice tidy stacks.

So I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that with an even bigger-brained strat, I was able to make use of two accounts (one with the siege and one with the repairs, which could also be done with a friend) to super-quick pack up after the repair had finished and nominally attain 100% durability on the siege.

The bad news is that the nominally fully-repaired siege still wouldn't stack, and I can only guess that there's still a sliver of decay that isn't enough to tick the number down, but still counts as not-fully-repaired for purposes of stacking.

So... almost, but not quite, and I am once again asking for ZOS's repairing support.

They should make it so that as long as your not in combat, you can repair siege in your inventory.
Right click the siege item in inventory, click repair, done if you have enough repair kits.

Yep. If you've ever used the siege, it will never stack again as the system works now. We need to be able to repair siege up to 100% somehow so we can stack them.

They should make it so the repair kit can be used in inventory like equipment repair kits and soul gems can be used.

Good idea, would also improve QOL.

I'm fairly sure this is done for lore reasons as once you've setup your siege flatpack furniture you don't have as much space in your bag to put it away again.

I swear when stacking first came out you could do this by repairing. But it doesn't work now. Even if the item shows maximum toughness number, it won't stack.
