Maintenance for the week of December 23:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – December 23, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – December 23, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 14:00 UTC (9:00AM EST)

No maintenance today means another week of Cyrodiil being unplayable.

Great work! Can't wait to not play Cyrodiil for another week because of people abusing Tarnished!

The least you could've done is completely disable the set while we wait for a fix.

I think their answer is to just try to prevent the spread by deleting anything that explains how it's happening; but it's pretty obvious when you get hit by it alone vs when another particular ability is present

I like to tongue in cheek suggest the no proc campaign; but there needs to be a large movement there in order to correct a single faction owning it and even they disappear if any resistance shows up

Right? If this doesn’t drive population to Ravenwatch then I don’t know what will.

Cyrodiil is more playable than ever now that the ball groups are getting instakilled over and over, honestly.

Yeah why are people hating on something that actually deals with ball groups? Because it's a bug/exploit? We need to ask, why does it take a bug/exploit to solve the ballgroup problem.... and honestly which is worse?

Well a bug should be fixed obviously, but we do need this kind of high threat vs groups effect.

Is it hitting ballgroups specifically though? Or more likely to be used by them? Equal parts nuke race by a single set doesn't sound any better than ball groups to me.

I just quit playing cause I was getting hit by it with my group of 3 over and over again not crazy numbers but every single person it seems had it on while we were outnumbered lol.

Yeah, the bug procs off one of the main sources of damage that ballgroups use. It would be easily abusable by them if they choose to do so. So far they haven't because it is obvious bug abuse and as groups of generally very hardcore players they don't want to risk their accounts. If it was made the "approved" behavior of the set, they'd switch to using it instantly. In fact, ballgroups with their 35k minimum health, constant barrier+other shield spam, and high degree of voice com coordination are some of the few groups that would be able to effectively counter it as well.

I doubt anyone abusing this bug will face any action at all.

Are ball groups hardcore? From my pov as a returning player who took a 5+ year break, most of the ball groups seem very casual. There doesn't seem to be any guilds like haxus and rage anymore. But that's just my casual observation as a casual player.

Damage output of ballgroups is already through the roof, wouldn't matter much if they used this on top.

I'd say this is one case where it gives their opponents more added advantage than them.

The tarnished exploit is shocking and hopefully people will be banned for it but it’s pretty rare from my experience.

I’ve had 2 people do it and that’s it. All the rest are people using the set “properly”. I don’t agree that the set should be disabled for what seems to be a very small number of abusers.

I've seen quite a number of players use it thus far and it's a sad how fights are ruined with people deliberately triggering this exploit, a very bad and tragic form of sportsmanship in Cyrodiil atm which reflects the toxic and also childish behaviour in some people relying on this form of exploit unfortunately and unwillingly spilling onto the faction(s) allowing it to manifest as fights are turned in their favour due to these cheaters.

If anything it only proves how bad Cyrodiil has turned in terms of PvP and how exploiters and cheaters are repeatedly granted space to do these things.

Have only been killed by this once when in a 6-man and we got hit by two simultaneous 19k hits. Otherwise have not died to the bug.

Is making cyro more fun though with less ballgroups around and zergs spreading out.

Jokes on us, we waited for the patch and now it's actually unplayable with rollbacks.

It's not playable when 24 people crash at the same time, map progress is rolled back, AP is lost, and it resets CP and keybinds.
