... And the fragments still drop with an infinitesimal frequency (got ONE in two days of doing EVERY available quest across multiple characters), nor can they be bought from Impressario, traded, or obtained in ANY other way.

Seriously, @ZOS_GinaBruno -- get it hotfixed, given out for free, whatever...

(You can't even grind it out because boxes are limited to six per day per character, plus one for the event intro quest.)

I agree that the drop rate is too low. Been grinding for pieces with a friend and across 60 or so boxes, we've got one piece. Considering that you need seven if you're starting fresh, that is a daunting amount of jester dailies to do before you get the pet. We're probably going to give up farming it and just let pieces happen as we just do enough for tickets.

And before anyone says "it's just RNG", yeah, we know. It's poorly weighted RNG.

The problem is not even that it's a poorly weighted RNG, but that you can't get infinite boxes, AND, you can't trade them or obtain in ANY other way.

Edit: so the way it is, it should be a GUARANTEED drop, not RNG at all, even if that would be VERY generous RNG, because, well, even on a 99% drop chance, someone would still get unlucky.

Man I am so bummed out over this event. I have looked forward to getting this pig for several months now!!! I have been playing the game ever since it released and usually just play PvP and stay in cyrodill and don’t really ever do much stuff outside of PvP. I have recently started to play more pve content and am liking it!!!! I so wanted this pig! I did 57 boxes today and didn’t get a single fragment. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied that I cannot just buy the individual fragment pieces with event tickets. I WOULD GLADLY PAY CROWNS FOR THIS SOVEREIGN SOW.

The pig has been available for a few years now but has HORRRIBLE DROP RATE. I don’t really do much pve content, and honestly at this point will probably not do many more events since the rewards suck and it’s not worth wasting my time. I did 57 boxes yesterday for some of the worst rewards I have ever seen. I literally just destroyed 95% of the items I received.
I SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY THE SOW OUTRIGHT OR BUY FRAGMENT PIECES

Yes this is my 3rd year of trying to get the sow. I have only 4 fragments from the first 2 years so far this year nothing. I give up! It would be nice to have, but having spent hours and hours on it with no luck I think it's just not worth it.

The other rewards from the boxes don't interest me (exactly how many jesters coffers does zos think I need!?!) so I guess tickets one and done from now on.

Can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't looking forward to Jester's anymore somewhere around my third year. Sticking a fun reward into boring repetitive cringefest just makes it worse.

Also, if the game is going to make me grind for something for ten years instead of simply adding new rewards, I'd rather play something that respects my time and effort.

Doesn't the fragments menu say they only drop from Stupendous boxes, aka "golden boxes" ? Still their drop rate is horrendous...

I completed the sovereign sow the first year in EU...that being said, I've been at it for five years now in NA and until this year, I only had two pieces and one of those was given to me. I got three pieces the first day of the festival using six different characters (so no, not just stupendous boxes) and not one drop since. And let's not get started on the minstrel cloth pieces, lol.

I will usually run through the festival on the first day with all my characters to check the drop rates and offerings, other than that, it's collect the tickets and leave.

They should make the pieces available from the festival vendor.

(I haven't been trying for this pet, but I've participated in the jester's festival every year and today was the FIRST time I received a piece.)

I have decided to give up on getting the sovereign sow. I have done around 150 jester boxes this year and have only received one fragment. It’s a real shame that I can’t just buy fragments with event tickets! I would definitely be opening up my wallet
