Thrassian Stranglers and Proc Sets

Hi, known Thrassian enjoyer here. I've noticed during U39 that proc sets (none of them) don't scale with the weapon/spell damage granted from Thrassian. I've since confirmed this is not a UI tooltip issue. Is this intentional? Glad to hear any insight.

Thank you.

I’m pretty certain that proc sets are capped around 7k spell damage but if you don’t hit that with stranglers then yeah that’s an issue.

Is there any proof that its capped at 7k, I genuinely happen to be curious about this.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

It’s not exactly 7k but they did that after the One Tamriel update because that update added a whole bunch of proc sets into the game.

Proc sets require around 6500 damage to be at previous non-scaling proc set damage levels, but after that, they continue to scale with damage. If you have 12k spell damage your procs are going to insane.
If stranglers aren't contributing to your damage for proc scaling, that's weird. Malacath does. Sea serpent's coil does. Markyn does. Put in a ticket?

A WHOLE lot has changed in the 8 years since One Tamriel...

My average weapon damage with zero stacks Thrassian's is around 5k. I usually use thrassian's solely to boost my WD/SD so I can invest in other areas like penetration, sustain, crit, etc. Even so, I notice the damage from proc sets (monster set: Maarselok or Anthemir's) remain unchanged when fully stacked.

Actually now that I think about it, even with 50 stacks Thrassian I'm usually at around 6500 WD/SD. I usually pair it with shattered fate and some benign backbar set.

You seem to be confused. OT was like, eight or nine years ago. Proc scaling only took place maybe two years ago. The scaling hits the original values (before proc scaling was implemented) when around 6.5k weapon/spell damage but should continue to scale linearly. I would know because my Vicious Death tooltips hit absolutely absurd numbers when I'm around 10k weapon damage.
