What do you need most to further immersify your character?

Wherever you are roleplaying or simply enjoying the lore of the game and are therefor wanting to create a character that is rooted in the gameworld, there are a lot of customisation options in the game.

But what do you feel might bring your character on the next level of immersion?

Well I actually intended for things that change the look of the character. I think dialog options and the like were better served in a quest survey. But I have to agree that's something we actually need! Always beeing treated like the new player that does not know a thing about the world, is kind of frustrating when you are a part of the TES world for 20 years or longer.

1) Dialogue options and NPCs who remember and react to what I’ve said and done as well as who or what my character is.

2) Customization or more options for class abilities. An easy example is warden — I would like my Dunmer warden to have a proper Morrowind-themed spirit guardian instead of that stupid bear. And I would like warden characters from other regions of Tamriel to have animal companion abilities reflecting that. But there are also class abilities that I just really dislike to the point of limiting what I play — Templar shovel, Nightblade perma-glow-through-my-eyeballs, etc.

3) Additional style/motifs like the Mercenary long coat and the Celestial pants (that makes the bottom of an open coat/cloak).

multiple of these.

personality:
- factotum

- some characters seem to use animations that make them look shy or timid like Hildegard from the Dark Brotherhood.
that'd be cool as a personality

- a personality that lets my character use a cane/staff whilst walking, without changing their posture.
Just like when you stand with a Restoration Staff.

- treasure hunter, but with a differently coloured flame on their torch like the npcs in Apocrypha that have green flames.

hair:
- azure ombre version of the Adorable Assassin and White River Braids hairstyles.
- or just a way to dye hair and use that specific colour for any hairstyles.

mounts:
- a cherry blossom indrik
- an autumnal indrik for the autumnal indrik pet
- more multi rider mount types? a bear would be awesome.
the mount customisation you mention in your poll would be cool too.

eyes and head adornments:
- separate categories for eyecolours and eye makeup please please pretty please zos.
i really want to have my characters use eyeshadow, eye colour, dainty antlers, scars, and facial tattoos all at once.
- if not possible then more Facial Hair like Winter Princess Glamour would be awesome as it has both eyeshadow and lipstick.

races:
- maormer for new playable race please.
it could be added with any island zones,
some islands connected to hammerfell like the Chain or Cespar.
or the islands south of Valenwood.
or Pyandonea itself.

- reachfolk
they could look like Bretons or some mix of that with Nords/Imperials and only have different passive skills.
and of course some extra dialogue in the Markarth DLC.

- Lilmothiit
- Kothringi
if they aren't truly extinct either one could be added in a future Black Marsh chapter.

other humanoid khajiit furstocks
- ohmes, looks like bosmer so should be very doable to add.
- ohmes-raht, have tails so only slightly different.
- dagi-raht, about a head shorter than minimum height bosmer.
- pahmar, about a head taller than maximum height altmer i think.

other types of argonians
- naga, which we've seen in Murkmire and Blackwood as part of the Dead-Water and Sul Xan tribes.
- haven't seen them in lore, but maybe there's more that also only have a different head that i can't remember.

for Skill Styles:
- i hope for more Warden bear colours.
- green clannfear for the Clannfear familiar.
- if possible a way to make the Scamp familiar wear a pack like the Undaunted Porter pet, it'd be so cute.

outfit styles/costumes:
- First the option to hide tassets and the option to hide loincloths.

- ithelia's outfit would be pretty cool.
- a skirt style without leg warmers please.
- small ankle boots
- a non class restricted Soulcleaver Mask.
- Sanguine's Rose
- what the Voidmothers wear.

- more Aedric Knightly Order styles like Knight of the Circle which is for Arkay!
maybe first for Julianos, Dibella, and Zenithar as those got Arms Packs recently.

regular clothes!
- a leg and chest style combo for a dress?
- all the clothes we can steal that npcs wear all throughout the game.
- heeled boots.
i think the Off-The-Shoulder Evening Dress costume has heeled shoes, but the dress almost always covers them.
- short pants!

- the option to remove effects from Arms Pack weapons and the new class styles.
i especially want to remove the purple flash from Prior Thierric weapons, it hurts but i love the design of the weapons.

would be funny
- mask styles for daedric princes we fought like Molag Bal, Mehrunes Dagon, and Vaermina.

costumes:
a version of the Off-The-Shoulder Evening Dress without the side things and with a smaller skirt so the shoes are visible.

Character wise I don't need anything as imagination can cover anything I'd need, but there's definitely stuff that can make the game more rpg-like.

Actual choices in quest chains.

At the very least main quest should offer alternate routes, different outcomes be it minor things or the very end of plot. It's a painful experience getting back to ESO after literally any game with quests. Last time it was Necrom after Elden Ring. Yeah, that was a pain no boss can inflict on you.

Better writing.

It's a subjective one for sure, but the decline in quality was noticed in community at large for years and main line plus first dlc considered as best ones to this day without any competition. When game generates so much money I don't see a reason why writing is on a level of tumblr fanfic. Especially when we're told that they're changing writing and being hit with the same stuff all over again like it was a blatant lie.
Hire an established writer, please.

That would be next level in ESO indeed.

Mount customisation! Allow me to freely combine mounts, saddels and ridinggear I have aquiered to make my own unique combination!

Well I personally think that beeing able to customise your mount will bring a lot of benefit. For one if you have a special riding gear & saddel you like, you can combine it with the moint in your perfered colore. That allows you fraction specific styles with more variation.

That aside there are of cause a lot of other things I want.

In eye colores I'd love to have some more blue tones for Altmer.

For my Altmer, I'd like to have blond hair like I got it for my Breton.

In regards to hairstyles, I'd love to have some more styles with long hair and some fine braided hair. The amount of Hairstyle mods fo TES games is normaly astonishing!

When it comes to spell effects, I've always been a collector of spell in TES games. given the smal amount of deadra to summon, I'd at least love to have them in all variants for the different deadric princes.

On the race side of things, I'd love the Aylieds, the Maormer and maybe some Snowelves. I know Aylieds are hard to add lorewise and the same goes for the Snowelves. Maybe there are somewhere some of them left but it is unlikly. The Maormer however seem rather plausible to add since they might have a splintergroup that might join us.

Of cause I'd love to have an expansion of the Telvanni magister personalety and some other simular fitting for mages. Some more arrogant (maybe Telvanni Master), some more fitting for someone wise.

I have to say that claoks and capes alre something I am kind of missing with normal gear. Thats why I added them as on option. I think having the might be a nice addition. Does anyone else feel the same?

On the topic of gear and cloth, I have a lot of whishes:

Bonemold sets for all the great houses of Morrowind!
Robes & gear for different ranks within the Mages Guild. I realy liked how you were able to tell the ranks of the Mages in TES4 Oblivion! Especially the Archmage robe was awsome! Maybe something for Battlemages as well.
Some dedicated Fighters Guild gear.
Some awsome Aylied gear and cloth that show the artistc elegance they display in there arcetecture.
Some awsome Direnni gear and cloth.
Some robes for the Collage of Winterhold. Also in different varinats depending on the rank.

As for a companion, I'd love to have a Telvanni mage or a Direnni one. Or a Maormer pirat! That might be fun

Well I forgot about them wehen making the poll but some nice bodyart that reflects the lore of certain fractions. But I do not want it to just "look cool" but to have actual purpose.

For better immersion mount customization would be nice, especially if it were possible to leave all the gear off when placed in a house. I'd like to have them roam free when at home.

Also, it would be nice if the companions could keep the costumes you dressed them in on when you place them in your home so they can fit in better with the theme you chose? That would probably be a lot of work for the devs though.

I'd love to see class-based questlines explaining how my character became a templar or arcanist. Learning about the lore behind my class with a detailed and well-thought-out questline culminating in like a class mount or something would be cool (see WoW: Legion Class Order Halls).
