STOP with the blastbones changes

These changes are just terrible and nobody likes them, just buff the skeletal minion instead, put the grave lord's sacrifice buff on empowering grasp, there's so many other things you can do besides ruin an entire morph of blastbones.

These new pts cycle changes actually make it WORSE for a pve rotation because now you have to waste even more GCDs spamming skulls just to get a range corpse that stalking blastbones already did with 1 cast. The dev comment suggests that these changes were done to help players with "complex" necromancer dps rotations, this isn't going to help, and any player who already didn't like necromancer rotation, has already moved on to another class, this will not make them come back.

The necromancer players on these forums aren't just a "small" complaining minority either, there are hundreds of players on reddit complaining about these upcoming changes, and you will have even more when this patch hits live. Just go read these comments to get an idea of what you're about to do, ruin this class even more. I'd write out more detailed feedback for this class, but I feel like I would be wasting my time at this point typing out paragraphs of valuable information as someone who has played 1000+ hours on necromancer in both pve and pvp since 2019 because there's such a huge lack of communication here.

It unfortunately feels pointless giving feedback these days as it's just constantly ignored and bad changes are pushed through update after update. There's literally thousands of pages of great necro feedback on the forums going back for years and yet I don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest for them to turn blastbones into a purely buff skill. The logic behind it also makes no sense. People aren't choosing to forsake necro because "the rotation is too complex," they aren't playing it because a lot of the skills and animations are clunky, it's severely lacking the major/minor buffs other classes have, there's almost no good, dynamic damage skills, and it's been ignored and left to rot for years while classes like NB and DK are regularly updated almost every patch.

I'm glad the devs are finally taking a look at updating necro, but deleting Stalking Blastbones is not the way to go and leaving Blighted alone is not a solution. Add the buff to the skeletal summons. They're currently complete trash as is, and the buff would make them worth slotting. Blastbones could honestly also use the extra damage with all the powercreep other classes have gotten.

Cosign. Destroying Blastbones, the only Necro skill that is universally liked and used by Necro players, that PAYED to access the Class, is not the way to fix the Class' problems. Further, the replacement accomplished the exact opposite of stated goals as rotations are clunkier, burdensome and less flexible than before. Not only is this a massive nerf for a Class challenged in respects to damage, but it's main theme the corpse generation mechanic is disrupted.

There are also issues with sustain and the new skill itself not working consistent with how it's described that other posters have brought up. These changes present more problems at every level and solve not a single issue they set out to. This must all be addressed before it hits live or there will be chaos and even more resentment from the community and that is the last thing anyone needs, dev and player alike.

And from a business perspective...Zos is right in the middle of promoting a new chapter and trying to sell customers on a whole year of content to invest time and money in. Why kneecap yourselves right out the gate with so much negative controversy? Forum posters, streamers, youtubers, NO ONE wants this.

From all the feedback on the forums, streamers, reddit, and youtube, I feel like I can speak for everyone when I say we would much rather you revert the changes to stalking blastbones this update and let the necromancer balance changes bake some more. This isn't the way to fix the issues with the class, and we would rather wait several months until the next pts cycle than deal with the mess that is currently sacrificial bones. You say you're listening to player feedback, then please don't go through with these changes. I've already seen several long-time players say they will cancel their eso+ and quit the game over this change if it goes to live.

As a few others have mentioned, there are ways you can change blastbones to be easier on pve rotations, and still viable in pvp, an example being changing it to the aoe explosion doing less up-front damage but having a very strong 10 second aoe DoT attached to it. This would also help an issue of the class not having any sticky damage over time abilities.

templars fought back during the U35 pts too. It's futile. the gods have spoken, and their word is law.

its hopeless. it is so clear that they have no idea what to do with this class. And it seems like the fail to realize how bad it actually performs, especially in pvp. There should be no excuse for them letting it fall so far behind. But per usual, when it comes to things they dont want to deal with, or dont understand, they stick their heads in the sand. There are 100 better ways to improve this class. There are changes that need to happen for the class to be in a decent spot, and comparable to other classes. this change is not one of them.

It's a 4.5-7.5k tooltip loss erasing stalking Blastbones.

In no way shape or form is major defile and minor defile making up for this.

Please do not go through with this, you will effectively have removed the last remaining linchpin holding the tattered remains of this class together.
