Does trials and Arena sets worth it or at least to have in a class than any other craft or overland or even monster sets?

are you asking if it's worth having trial and arena sets?
    if so, yes.

    it's worth having any set.
trial and arena sets are some of the most useful sets to have, especially for group content.

Issue is I notice most trial set say the same crap weak abilities that some craft and other sets have which make me think, is it worth it and I am having trouble finding the best set for all weapons class unless you got one best set that is for all weapon types for any class.

    which "crap weak abilities"?

and there's no set that's best for every damage dealer.

I even try relequen today for my first time and I was exciting to use it and no it was disappointed, it suck so bad that even other sets that are not trials feel better and more damage than relequen as my opinion.

Relequen is one of the best single-target DPS sets if you can maintain good LA weaving and keep up the 10 stacks of Harmful Winds throughout the fight.

If you can’t LA weave, if there are multiple targets or frequent pauses in the fight, then it won’t perform well. There is no set out there that deals optimal damage in every single situation. But if you explain what class you’re using and what content you’re playing, people might be able to give you better advice.

I just use it with nightblade bow with defiled and it feel it didn't do much damage like I already was doing lot of damage but I was expecting more and nothing and that is the reason why I didn't like it.
I try with dual on necromancer and not sure yet because I didn't try on a boss.

This is a learn 2 play issue, or "user error" if it is not doing anything for you. In order for Relequens to be really powerful, you need to be very good with your light attack weaving, and you also need to have the 5 piece active at all times so you don't lose stacks. If you can't do either of these, then Relequen is not going to be the best choice for you.

If light attack weaving is your issue, then the most powerful item you can equip is actually the oakensoul mythic. If you are using that, then trial sets are not going to be worth it because there are not currently any good trial sets that synergize well with a heavy attack build.

Relequen needs 10 light attacks to reach its full damage potential, so it works best in long, uninterrupted fights against single bosses. It will do almost nothing against overland enemies, for example, which melt away within 3 seconds.

It appears they are suggesting a simpler build. Specifically, a build using the Oakensoul mythic which it seems you already have. They are also suggesting that it is better to steer clear of trial sets if using the Oakensoul mythic.

I would suggest finding Oakensoul builds for the classes you like to play. Make sure to check out the build where they show a parse that proves the build can perform. From there, look at the sets they use.

    Good luck.

I guess my thinking is this. I have no interest in trials so I'm not going to have access to trial gear. And since I don't do trials anyway, I probably don't need the gear. Plenty of options between mythics, monster sets, dungeon, crafted, overland.

Hard to read most of this post, but definitely sounds like a learning curve issue. Trial sets are the most powerful option for PvE content. Oakensoul is a huge limiter, its great for trash packs or solo stuff, but it will significantly limit your damage output, especially single target. Relequens is VERY VERY powerful and sounds like you just need to READ the tooltip descriptions to know how to properly utilize the features of the set.

If you use an oakensoul heavy attack build, then yes. The two sets that give you the biggest increases in damage for a heavy attack build are dungeon sets (Seargants mail and Storm Master). Some people slot in Orders wrath for Storm Master, which is also a craftable option, but in either case, you're not using a trial or arena set.

Stormmaster has poor uptime these days in content, so deadly or orders wrath are good alternates, but yes no trial sets needed if using a HA build

Maybe try and learn how a set interacts with your play style. You can not just equip any trial set and expect your DPS to go up just because it's a trial set. Use relequen without the "crap weak" oakensoul ring, weave properly and you will see that it is a pretty good set.

    PC NA (Tank/DPS) - [PVE]
    Started ESO - Oct 2020

    Necro Main
Tank main from 300cp - 1200cp at which point I switched to DPS - I was 100k on every class except werewolf. I cleared 115k on necro, but I am completely done with parsing. My hands won't let me anymore. Lucky there is still heavy attack and arcanist options available. Otherwise I would possibly have to give up eso entirely.

Trial set will always grant you a free 5% damage boost from minor slayer being baked into them which make them min-maxer mandatory, perfected version even give you a small stat boost on top but it all depend how "servicable" the 5 piece bonus is

As some said with Rele, the set is serverly "nerfed" if you cant maintain a near perma uptime of the harmful wind stack

    So its situational

Sets giving you "on kill" buffs become nigh pointless in boss fight too so sets with synergy use condition or passive effect are usualy more welcome as they dont loose their utility in any situation outside solo content for the former

Arena sets usualy are meh and havent heard anyone even use them, the star are their weapons which are self contained sets

Trial set are only needed if you aim for leaderboard score or trials themselves

Otherwise dungeon-arena weapon-crafted set-mythic combo will get you through 99% of the game without a sweat
