the Bow Vault grimoire can be an AoE taunt, at least how it was shown in the Gold Road reveal livestream.
so unless Taunt gets removed as an primary option in Scribing in update 42's release we will likely get more Area of Effect taunts.

Some pretty cool things to try as a tank;
-Silver Leash yanks and soft taunts at range.
-Caltrops provides armor pen (saving you from having to do it manually) and snares all targets in an area.
-AoE stunning is criminally underrated. Skills like negate, sleet storm, or Soul Tether can lock down an entire mob pull and interact well with other offensive abilities dps have (like dw doing more damage to stunned targets).
Why am I posting this?
AoE Taunting is cool and I'm not advocating for its removal, but there's very fun and effective ways to shut down a room that are already in the game. It sounds like people want to keep everyone in their party safe, and there can be no safer place than the middle of a time stop where enemies can do *nothing*. No AOE, no incidental damage from dots, just a whole bunch if helpless enemies and some big DPS ready to rock!
aoe taunting fine but at a cost, sacrifice something to get something else
