PVP tab target icons broken again

spiderlair88646
Enemies are not supposed to be able to put a tab target icon players in Cyrodiil. This is back and being abused. Please fix this.

In patch 8.3.5 the markers were re-enabled to be used on enemy players. But you should not be able to see the marker on the compass since patch 9.0.5

There should be an option to turn these icons off for your account. That way nobody, friend or foe, could put these markers on you.

Problem is that no one is supposed to be able to put a marker on the enemy players. ZOS fixed this shortly after introducing the marker icons but now it is back.

To the best of my knowledge there is no way to prevent tab icons from being applied to me only setting is whether I see icons my group or myself applies.

From my understanding, marking enemies is intended. The markers persisting through extreme range and stealth was what ZoS fixed.

I believe it is still working as intended.

But they are indeed supposed to be usable on players in PvP:

“Enemy players and summons can once again be marked in PvP areas.”

They were intentionally re-enabled in that update after being briefly disabled so they could make the adjustments mentioned there: players who go into stealth now lose the marker and it must be re-applied, for example.

9.1.5 (on live) changed them so they wouldn’t appear on the compass specifically:

Half of the time you can't even see the markers when the marked player is hidden behind a wall or something. It would be interesting to know why the OP thinks it's "being abused".
