I pop a CC Immunity potion and still get hit with the Choking Talons root.

6 seconds remaining on CC Immunity (11s remaining on detection) but still rooted.

i dont think normal cc immunity protects against immobilizes and snares

because when you get hit with fossilize its a stun + immobilize, and cc breaking only removes the stun, not the immobilize

dodge rolling specifically gives "immobilize immunity" which lasts about the same duration as the dodge fatigue, and skills such as forward momentum for example, only provide immunity to immobilize and snares

i havent played with immovable pots enough to really know for sure if the cc immunity you get from that is the same as normal cc immunity, and normal cc immunity definitely does not protect you from immobilizes

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I just reproduced the issue where I popped an Immovability potion but Cephaliarch's Flail still rooted me. I was under the assumption that the potion was supposed to prevent disabling effects which should include roots because ... ya know... they disable you. But this doesn't seem to be the case at all.

So the only way to prevent roots during bombing is to run Snow Treaders? Ouch.

yeah, though i think its in the wording of the pot "immunity to knockback and disabling effects" and im guessing this only counts hard cc (stuns/fears/knockback) but not soft cc (roots/snares)

there are a few skills which give immunity to roots, but short durations or the snow treaders

the skills im aware of that give root immunity is:
    • forward momentum gives immunity to root/snare for 4 sec
    • shuffle (morph of medium armor skill), grants immunity to root/snare for 1 sec (+1 sec per piece of medium armor, max 7 sec)
    • race against time (psijic skill tree), grants immunity to root/snare for 4 sec

dodge roll gives root immunity for 2 or 4 seconds (i dont remember the exact time), but does not remove snares

and i dont know if theres any craftable potions for root/snare immunity

i noticed the issues when im fighting NPCs and i use cc break and still get rooted, or when im in cyro and DK hits with fossilize which is both a stun and root, which is why you have to cc break and then dodge roll to get out of the effect

Disabling effects means you cannot use abilities. You can when rooted.

    Working as intended
