This is mainly an issue with all Customized Actions, that completely change the animations. The ones that simply swap models of the tools (Druidstone Mine, Armiger Axing, Karth River Cleave and Stonelore Split) aren't affected by this.

I've always had the desync issue with base harvesting animations when quickly harvesting, IE: Material survey reports.
Basically, I've found that if you don't move the character's crosshair before gathering the next node, it desyncs. My fix has been to gather nodes away from each other:
Node order: Middle, right, left, further right, further left, Furthest right, furthest left. When they overlap, or the crosshair caption doesn't change target for a second, animation doesn't happen.

Try to strike a balance between being efficient with my time and allowing the animations to play out.
I wonder if the large separation between nodes that started with Greymoor and only got more pronounced as chapters rolled on had something to do with this...
Hard to tell without official confirmation because of the whole correlation =/= causation conundrum I guess.
