There are multiple delve and wb dailies in Wrothgar and at least one in Hew's Bane that are simply not designed properly for the number of people attempting to do them during an event.

Worst offender by far is the King Chief Edu world boss in Wrothgar, where people have to stand around for a very long time waiting for the prisoners to spawn to be rescued. Even being in a group is of limited help here, as you need to be in close proximity to the prisoners when they are rescued in order to get credit.

Several of the delve dailies also make for a horrible experience because the quest objectives aren't instanced (eggs in Coldperch Cavern) or require players to compete to perform a specific interaction with enemies (Freeing the spirits in Thukhozod's Sanctum).

Syvarra world boss in Hew's Bane suffers from a similar problem, as players must compete to kill the nearby lamias in order to loot their corpses for pearls... and they spawn slowly and die in a couple of hits.

There could be more that I'm not thinking of right now. But it makes for an awful event experience. Please don't do this to people again in the future.

TL;DR - Daily quest objectives should ideally be changed so that they are instanced, or at least the relevant spawn rate should be dramatically increased.

@ZOS_Kevin - I hope you can communicate this back to the team. Thanks.

Absolutely agree with this. We've mainly been doing world bosses (where there's a choice), but the ones you mention are particularly egregious. Syvarra and Edu are both terribly designed for large numbers of players trying to do them at the same time.

I'll also add a request to turn off or at least dial back the maximum number of people getting loot from bosses. Especially during events, but frankly, all the time would be nice. When there are 25 players there, the fact that only 12 of them get loot is inane. World events don't work that way, so why should bosses?

I absolutely agree it should be instanced/spawn should be sped up, but in the mean time, I will note the human foes in that dungeon also drop eggs. That’s still slower and more tedious than it needs to be, but I hope that helps someone at least a little.

I only do the delve and wb in Gold Coast. The others are too annoying.

I couldn't agree more. These quests are not enjoyable during this event, but if we don't (or can't) do the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests for the tickets, we need to do the Wrothgar dailies to get tickets. This is a game, and it's supposed to be enjoyable.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's feedback for quests.

    Thank you for your understanding

I ran into these two just the other night. I can't offer any suggestions for Edu, but for the lamias it would help if players tried to refrain from killing them as quickly as possible-- i.e., hit them lightly a couple of times, then let other players have a chance at getting a couple of hits in. You should still be able to loot the corpses for pearls, and hopefully a few other players can, too. It isn't a solution, just a potential workaround until a real solution gets implemented.

There is precedent of issues like these being fixed, at least when it comes to quest objectives not being instanced.

The most recent example that comes to mind is 'A Rogue and his Rice' in S.Elsweyr. The bags of rice that have to be looted to fulfil the quest objectives weren't instanced which lead to players having to 'camp' the spawn points.

In other cases, like the Clockwork City for instance, they reduced the requirements to fulfil the quest objectives (in the ones that require harvesting crafting nodes for quest specific yield) in order to alleviate the intense competition that used to ensue.

Hopefully they will have a look at these quests and implement similar fixes/relief measures.

Try finding the "eggs" in Hew's Bane. A mass of people nuke boss mob and clan when they spawn making it so it was almost impossible to even get the needed drops. I fortunately found several that spawned around the area, but it was frustrating getting nothing for multiple boss and group spawns in the area!

EDIT: I see this was mentioned above already. Horrible design, as well as the other one in Wrothgar that was noted.

Wouldn't it be logical to revisit and adjust these?

Added bonus for the Lamia: it seems they don’t always drop the pearls. 😞

Another tip for these: spam heals on other players, that way you’re ’assisting’ with the kill. There were a couple times I discovered green glowing corpses I know I didn’t touch lying about waiting to be looted after throwing around regen with my Resto staff.

Spawn rate still needs to be buffed for the event though.

I just finished "Reeking of Foul Play" in Wrothgar. I was thinking "tuesday morning, should be ok", but even with only a handful of other players camping prisoner locations it took way longer than I would have liked. I don't even bother travelling to Hew's Bane and riding to the quest board anymore, because the Lamia quest just makes me leave the zone instantly.

@valenwood_vegan might I suggest a better title for this post? "Request: Fix the Quests if You Ever Hold Guilds and Glory Any Zone Event Again". :) This isn't exactly the only event that suffers from daily quests not being adjusted for the amount of players doing them.

Eh, that's probably true but I wanted to stick to specific quests I can identify for them based on this event.

I don't have time to figure out all the ones from all the different events that need adjusting. And IMO the more general the request, they more likely they are to ignore it. Might be better to make a new post about other events / quests that should be adjusted.

Regardless, I'm not sure it's much of a priority... definitely not the first time this complaint has been brought up and we never get any dev comments, and this post was tucked away in a [imo, incorrect] sub-forum, where it will vanish into the void.
