lag spikes and bad lag?

Hi everybody. I have been experiencing randomly in the past few days some unexplained lag spikes.. never had them before.. like I am in a dungeon and randomly my pings jumps to 1000 then back to 70 with fatal consequences during my gameplay. I am on a wired connection, my speedtest with my isp is fine ,no other issue with any other game. Also this does not happen consistently ,for example this morning no issue whatsoever, yesterday afternoon unplayable. I tried alraedy of course all the basic troubleshooting ie flushing dns, restarting my router , etc etc.
What could it be? Could it be server related ? I use google dns.

This is just how it is for ESO. You can do all the things ZOS has outlined in their help section to deal with these issues, and you should, but don't expect it to make much, if any difference.

I have been experiencing the same exact issue in the last 3 days, with spikes going up to 9000ms and then back to 60/70, then up to 600, down again, up to 3000...

It's been quite unplayable in the last 3 days for me.

I also did the troubleshooting you mentioned and nothing changed.

I had similar issues soloing pledges on the last couple days as well, on PC/EU.
Everything is fine, then I pull something and everything randomly grinds to a halt. It is awfully inconsistent too, sometimes it kicks me out of the game, other times it gets back to normal in a few seconds. And there are no spikes or packet losses on the ping command I keep running out of the game.

The last little while in the game has been extremely laggy. I live west coast Canada and it's like I'm playing on EU servers while I'm on the US server.
