Are weekly reward coffers for IA not curated?

Just got an item from a sorcerer's set which is already complete for me. Aren't these coffers curated? If not, what are the rules for getting an item? Is it completely random?

It is based on the class you got onto the leaderboard with, but apart from that it is random and not curated.

That is sad. I hoped to get one more item per week that I do not have. Oh well, no reason to get to the leaderboard then for me.

I got the very first reward mail when I had just one or two weapons on that class... it gave me that weapon again. I've yet to get a single new item from an IA reward mail. I know it's just how it is, but yes, it made me not care about the leaderboard too.
