Writ exp during event

Hi all,

I noticed something about the master writ experience and need some help to figure this out. I have two accounts: One is 2026 CP with an ESO+ Membership and the other is 267 CP without ESO+. When turning in master enchanting writs I get 35.4k on the ESO+ account and 33.7k on the one without ESO+. 33.7k is 200% exp and 35.4k is 210% as it should be. The 10% difference are from ESO+. Now a strange thing happens when I use mythic aetherial ambrosia (150% exp bonus). On the ESO+ account I get 60.6k exp which is around 360%. On the other account I get 47.7k exp which is only 283%. I think it should be around 59k exp at 350% exp bonus. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for answers!

It should be ~58,943 at 350%, yes. The base value for a master writ is 2.25x the standard quest reward, which is 7485 XP at level 50.

Just to confirm: Are you getting the 47.7k on a level 50 character? Otherwise the XP will be lower.

A multiplier of 283% should not be possible without Enlightenment interfering, as buffs that affect writs (aside from Highborn’s 1%) come in multiples of 10: 10% each from ESO+ and Ring of Mara, 50%/100%/150% from scrolls or potions, and 100% from the event.

Thanks you for your input. I made a video and I think I know what's going on.

For the first writ I get 47799 exp. For the second I get 47914 exp. I think the exp is capped at 1/2 of the champion points needed for the next stage. For the first CP I needed 95599 = 47799*2+1. The 1 off is probably some form of rounding. Same goes for the next writ with 95829 = 47914*2+1. Based on that you get no penalty from around CP 364. It probably goes unnoticed since it shows mostly in the lower CP and during events. But if someone wants to boost some lower accounts during events it's nice to know that you can use the cheaper ambrosia and still get the most out of your writs.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's asking the community for assistance.

    Thank you for your understanding
