[Question] I want to know some mysterious lethal mech of normal Cloudrest Trial

I couldn't find out what kind of "trigger" make AoE(approximately Red-2m?) around me, and kill me with
explosion death at the last. I saw other player suffer same death. I've never seen same trap so far.
What is that? Can't solve it by myself.

By the way...I've been thinking this critical game design issue with enough long time.

I think that ZOS is not good at describing game mechanic by the visual compared with other
AAA action game title. Their action game design is always too much abstractive. It's definitely
weakest point of ZOS as game developers.
(Despite of great Tamriel "lore and visual" design, I can't raise 10/10 verdict for ESO because of those flaw.)

Some people including me mention about those fundamental game design problem of ZOS
many times so far, but never improved actually. Just...Why?
My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

When that aoe detonates, it deals damage to everyone in the radius, so you need to share the damage with others to avoid being one shot. Most boss fights do have a npc on the sidelines who shouts lines hinting as to how to react to attacks, but it's been a while since I'd been in there and I can't remember.

If you mean the expanding yellow circle when fighting against sriroria (or on the boss fight if you dont defeat sriroria first) then you need to stack with at least two other people to share the damage. On the side bosses when the gryphon rears it puts the special attack on someone, frost, flame or electricity/bar swap. The tank or raid lead should be able to call out in that situation so people know to check around them etc

The Mechanic is Roaring Flare and the targeted player needs other players in the aoe to share damage or they will die.

You should have asked your group this and had it explained.

If people explained the mechanics and you failed to read them your deaths are on you.

The same kind of mechanic also shows up in brp and ss. If your aoe turns from red to yellow then you’re safe. At least, thats how it works in the other two content.

Anyways, CR requires a lot of communication and flare is a big part of why, so people know where to stack. Usually it’s on group healer, but sometimes it’s where Z’maja just was, or where she will be next, or on a creeper…

"then you need to stack with at least two other people to share the damage."
It means that If people keep staying within certain degree distance with AoE carrier,
then damage amount is automatically divided to the smaller degree and scatter
against other player. Am I right?

I agree that ZoS does only give fairly vague instructions about mechanics. There is usually an NPC saying something that gives you a clue. As has also been mentioned, there are a lot of good Trial guides by content creators.
If you're starting out in trials, try to find a trials guild that trains people.
If you are on PC get the add on How to cloudrest. Combat Alerts and Crutch Alerts are also very useful.

But most of Trial guild require "Discord chat" or voice chat. I don't like that.
I usually don't spend time for those type of chat. So I want more casual guild of Far East time area.

I had joined my trial guild off of a smooth run of falkreath hold, and after some time healing for them, we went into Maw of Lorkhaj. Since it was critical for healers to communicate when they were switching sides, that's when I had to pick up a mic and talk with the others. Some fights demand that level of communication, mostly for tanks, healers, and any dps running important tasks, so if you aren't going to use discord or any other voice chats, just go into it knowing that some fights could be rough the first few times, and many groups may disband due to frustration, so it would probably be best to read about particular trials in advance to help avoid those situations. Thinking on it, most trials, especially the newer ones, have very communication dependent fights, so just know that's the reason why so many guilds require voice chat of some level.

But most of Trial guild require "Discord chat" or voice chat. I don't like that.

In many cases the requirement is to listen on voice chat, not necessarily to speak yourself, if that's your issue with Discord. If you still don’t want to use it, that’s fine, but your learning experience will be way worse than with a group that’s coordinating, explaining mechanics, and giving constructive feedback on the fly. Just consider what it took you to understand Roaring Flare, one of the most basic mechanics in Cloudrest, which any raid lead could have explained to you in 30 seconds via voice.
