knockdowns are extremely unfun to play against

Yes, I admit I'm new to pvp and battlegrounds. in my first game of dm, the enemy team had a templar that would stun you every chance he got. he would knockdown and stun you and if it was just him wailing on you, you would have 1/4th hp left by the time you got up from his stun, if his teamates were attacking you, you would be dead before the stun wore off.

his team had around 5 kills each, and he had 30 kills 2 deaths, he would stunlock people the entire game and won because of it.

i just don't think its fun to go against this type of play.

    .

There is no stunlock in this game, every time you are stunned and break free you get CC immunity for several seconds.
One of the first thing you need to learn for PvP is to monitor your stamina, never deplete it because being stunned and not being able to break free often wil get you killed.

If you hate being stunned try this set for some sweet revenge

    Ok,

CC immunity is a lie. I get serial stunned all the time. Break free rarely works and I have slippery on. I use unstoppable pots (or used to as they do zero these days) I've tried shuffle and RAT...

It comes down to luck of the lag.

I think waders (?) is the only real defense against that.

@blktauna I see you say this on every thread with anything to do with hard or soft CCs.

Your experience is different from everyone else's. Please stop passing this off as fact.

Either you don't know the difference between soft and hard CC or you just have so much lag that it doesn't work for you.

I admit the game has tons of problems and anything, at any given time, may not work. But to say CC immunity is a lie is wrong, and may prevent someone from learning the correct way to deal with things if you tell them something is true that they already suspect is true but actually it is not true.

For added fun, turn the tables. Soon as I see a Templar with Javelin in a BG I get giddy with excitement. Just run around with defensive posture slotted and up, wait for the bewildered pixilated look on their face as they take their own Javelin to the face. Timed right, you can bait them by standing on a bridge and watch them knock themselves off. It's fantastically satisfying and hilarious.

Friend I can only comment on my experience and for me it is a lie.
I'm well aware of hard and soft cc differences and used to used immovable pots until they did nothing any longer.
Break free is also a lie for me most of the time, even at 100% stam.

People should be aware this happens so they don't always think they are idiots when stuff that should work doesn't.

Defensive Posture is a reflect. Reflect the templars Javelin and they stun themselves.

Something is definitely up with CC immunity.

I had the idea to try out that very cool skill "reverberating bash" this weekend and noticed that people were getting stunned by it even if they had the swirlies under their feet.

That skill is awesome by the way. They should totally make a class neutral version that can be used with weapon of choice so it can do bigger damage while being an amazing concept for a target stun.

You can dodge roll the javelin

And enemy can spam it. And since dodge roll have cost increase penatly and javelin don;t eventually You will get hit.

Knockbacks are the worst type of stun in the game for sure. They desync very easily and are most buggy to break free.

Slippery won’t do anything for you in Battlegrounds because CP has no effect in Battlegrounds.

It sounds like breaking free isn’t working for you due to lag. I know it really sucks when you try to use an ability and nothing happens! :persevere:
