[IDEA] Automatic cleanse to help stuck in combat bug in Cyrodiil

Everyone that plays Cyrodiil has encountered the issue where your character has not engaged in combat for a while, yet for some reason you are still stuck unable to port or mount. Would it not seem reasonable to apply a new buff to the Battle Spirit passive while players are in Cyrodiil or Imp City?

Here's an idea that wouldn't seem to complicated or strong for those that would attempt to abuse an auto cleanse, yet would help fix some of those 40,000+ year debuffs we run into randomly.

-Battle Spirit
-Damage taken and Shield strength are decreased by 50%
-Healing Received is decreased by 55%
-Health Recovery is decreased by 50%
-Ability range of 28 meters or more increased by 8
-(New Idea) Automatically cleanse all active debuffs when not actively damaging for 30 seconds

Obviously an idea, but something along these lines could help remove negative status effects when you clearly aren't engaged in a fight.

    You would have to change the wording from “…when not actively doing damage” to “…when not in combat”. Otherwise, troll tanks will think it’s Christmas. Aside from that, it sounds like a good idea to me.

    But the idea is to help fix the problem where the game thinks you're in combat when you're not.

    Nice idea op, but what about instead zos just implments two universal checks

    1: If a buff or debuff has a duration of over 120 seconds and is NOT from a consumeable (food, drink, exp booster) then the duration is set to 120 seconds

    2: if the player has not dealt or received damage, healing, buffs, debuffs for 120 seconds the player is removed from combat, no if/but/why

    How about they create a monument we can go and interact with at one of our gates that will remove "in combat"? They for sure could do this even if they can't figure out how to fix the problem after so many years. We could go pray to the "get me out of combat" god and be cured.

    Honestly, if the Stick In Combat bug is so damn impossible for ZoS to fix, I don't see why they don't just allow the things that are disallowed in combat but add restrictions to them.

    Stuck in Combat and want to mount? Mount slower then normal and with half or even a third Stamina, so if you try while in *actual* combat, the chance of pulling it off and getting away are much slimmer.

    Changing gear but stuck in Combat? Make an animation play per piece changed and that you can't stealth during it. If you're in actual combat, you'd most likely be found half way through changing if you're in a fight.

    Mail stuck?....Well I can't find a reason, or restriction to this.

    Of course, it's not perfectly, and it's probably possible to exploit it in some situations, especially gear changing in PvP (Although if you ask me, I think Armoury Stations should be in every keep and should let you change at will unless the keep is flagged), but at this point, no matter how many times ZoS has attempted to fix it, it's never worked out. This bug should stop being treated as a outright blockage at this point and just work around it.

    It would be nice if they would just add a 'shrine' which lets you click it at the spawn and clear all debuffs would save time relogging / entering delves where you get stuck.

    A few of the things we've been asking for since the original Alacrity, Decibel and DiE (old PvP guilds) meetings with the devs back in 2015:

    1. All effects should be removed when you transit anywhere, no more permanent stuck things. Reference to the original NB armour shred stacking and becoming permanent.

    2. If you haven't attacked, used a skill or taken damage in 30 seconds, remove you from combat.

    3. Let us mount in combat. If we do and die, it's our own fault.

    Using a transitus shrine should clear all negative effects including combat status.

    for point #2 you would also have to include healing, buffing and debuffing otherwise healers would have a field day with this
