Why does everyone choose Mag Khajiit NightBlade instead of Stam? Why is Mag Khajiit a better choice for NB?

i choose magicka because the magicka morphs are better for my playstyle.

impale is ranged and i don't use melee weapons, so it's better for me.

i use lotus fan instead of ambush,
because
- ambush grants minor beserk and empower which i already get from oakensoul
- lotus fan gives minor vulnerability to enemies which is always helpful
- lotus fan damages multiple enemies and i always want my characters to have at least one aoe skill.

merciless resolve has more damage and 50% healing instead of 33% healing.

and as sap essence heals you and your allies i use it for my nightblade healers.

I play both. So not "everyone".... I have pretty equal numbers of each. But then, I use totally "non-standard" (and specifically NON-META) skills and abilities - because I just do stuff my own way. They all kill stuff just fine.... and really, for solo play questing, delves, and overland, it really doesn't matter much.

Yes my NBs are a li'l squishy, but that's okay, I manage.

I don't think khajiit factors into it. It's just that magblade is better than stamblade right now.

Ahhh maybe that’s what it is. Appreciate it. That helps. Khajiit seem to have a decent stamina pool so I was wondering why people wouldn’t pump all their points into stamina and go stam with Khajiit but it makes sense if Mag NightBlade is just a better choice in general.

I personally prefer magblade, but for PvE you do have to consider the crit damage cap.

Because nightblades and khajiit get a crit damage bonus, the crit damage bonus from medium armor risks getting you above the 225% cap if you include Minor + Major Force in a trial or dummy setting. So it's potentially a little bit stat-inefficient, because you'd have to switch your mundus or CP or something. That's about it tho I think.

Meanwhile in PvP, khajiit stamblade lets you stack that yummy yum yum critty kitty shotgun blast.

Both are fine. Especially, if you just want to play SOLO /w companion.

Ultimately the difference is only the spammable. Concealed Weapon or Flurry.
You choose the other morphs for utility, they activate certain passives or because they do more damage.

Appreciate it. The info does help as I have been putting all points into stam. 😭 maybe I should stop now and fix my attributes before I cap level.

you can always reset your attribute points at the major city shrines.
usually it's the shrine of Stendarr

One major reason is because the magicka morph of Grim Focus, Merciless Resolve, is stronger than the stamina morph, Relenteless Focus. 14,412 magicka damage with healing of 51% damage versus 12,683 disease damage and healing of 34% damage. Relentless gives 100 more weapon/spell damage than Merciless, but since the damage from the Spectral Arrow scales, its not really worth it.

Yea thinking about doing a doing respec but getting the info first helps. I’ve always been a magicka fan anyway but Khajiit just seems like it should be stam based.

This NightBlade will mainly be used to farm mobs for crafting mats and champion points. Should have mentioned that if I didn’t. I also don’t want her to be a one trick pony and completely useless other than farming if that’s possible lol.
