I actually don't mind the abundance of sets (so long as there is still 3rd party sites helping me track them)

There's a part of me that enjoys coming across sets I haven't seen before, with hopes of finding some magical combination of sets that defies meta.

That is true and I have had a lot of fun theory crafting before, although I just want something competitive and balanced now, something I can jump in to without thinking. I want to think on my feet while fighting, not hours before to get rekt by meta because the sets and build doesn’t do what it says on the tin, or does so but poorly.

Yep can absolutely sympathize! Been there a few times; sunk a lot of time into farming, transmuting, gold on golding out pieces (was jewelry pieces, ouch) only to be let down.

I know some will say that's what the test server is for, but console players don't have the same access, and also you can't really know how it will perform in PVP until actually there!
