Gifting a house to a friend

I am trying to gift a house to a friend. However this is not possible. I can only purchase the house for myself. I can gift everything else to my friend.
Is there a restriction in gifting to a friend.? I don't recall to have read anything about this.

    Seems like a bug, checked if I could gift a house to someone and it seems possible:

    That seem like a bug to me if you have the ability to gift everything else. @Eckblad if you could place a ticket in for this and relay the number over, we can make sure this ends up in the right place.
