Need help. Only doing 40,000 damage!

Hey guys. I'm frustratingly stuck and don't know why my damage is so low for my Magicka Necromancer. I only do 40,000 damage.

Background

Firstly, I was doing 25,000-35,000 damage. Then I was told to go and obtain the Oakensoul ring. I obtained it and it helped, but it didn't get me past 40,000 damage. I was then told to swap out Bahsei Mania for Sergeant's Mail. I swapped out Bahsei Mania for Sergeant's Mail and I'm still doing 40,000 damage.

Rotation:

Stalking Blastbones IV, Trap Beast IV, Skeletal Arcanist IV, Avid Boneyard IV, Intensive Mender IV and Glacial Colossus IV. I chose Intensive Mender IV because it's saved me multiple times and I can't really rely on healers 100% of the time.

Champion Skills:

(Warfare) Master-at-Arms, Deadly Aim, Wrathful Strikes and Backstabber

(Fitness) Bastion, Siphoning Spells, Fortified and Boundless Vitality

Gear:

-5 Kinras (Which I was also told to swap out for either Storm Master or Order's Wrath)

-5 Sergeant's Mail

-Slimecaws's Guise (Head)

-Oakensoul (Ring)

I get that my gear was outdated (I just came back from 1-2 years hiatus), but it still shouldn't be doing this low amount of damage. I also get that half of my gear is purple (epic) items, but upgrading them to gold won't make a significant amount of damage output.

Can somebody help me understand what I'm doing wrong in plain English because I'm not that technical when it comes to the details of it.

Here's my CMX images of fully parsing heavy attack (with a 21 million trial dummy):

Probably because you're parsing in heavy armor with health enchants. You're getting no dps armor passives. Switch sergeant to 2 jewelry, lightning staff and one body piece. All armor in divine, magic enchants. Gold weapon at the least.

In addition to the above, theres some CP that adds HA damage, use that. You’re probably getting little uptime on Kinras using an inferno staff. Morph trap beast. Also use wall of the elements with lightning staff to proc off balance.

    I see what you're saying.

    I will:
-Switch Sergeant's Mail to 2 jewelry (ring and necklace), I'm in the middle of trying to obtain a lightning staff and I have a one-body piece in the chest/cuirass.
-Switch all armor to divine trait.
-Inevitably make at least my weapon (lightning staff) gold.

How do I change the enchants from health to magic? I've went to transmute station and I can only change the trait not the enchant.

Enchanting table to make a glyph (make sure it’s the right level) and then scroll over the item you want to enchant and hit the enchant button.

Thank you. Should I aim for the highest magicka (for armor) enchantment (Truly Superb Glyph of Magicka)?

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's asking for assistance from the community.

    Thank you for your understanding

Yes. Truly superb is cp 160.

You are using stamina regen glyphs insteat of dmg glyphs. That reduces the dmg very much and you dont use the stamina anyway. Use 3 spell dmg glyphs insteat(or 3 weapon dmg glyphs).
Also using a heavy attack set(seargents mail) and a skills for a lightning heavy attack build together with an inferno staff is not a good idea. Inferno is not a good weapon for (pve) heavy attack builds. Seargents mail deals dmg only once for Inferno heavy attack compared to multiple times for lightning heavy attack.
Heavy attacks builds are easier but not that strong abymore, If you are not handicapped you should rather try a light attack 2bar build. And better copy all of the builds, not just a set. Some sets work only for special builds.

I would lose Trap Beast and replace it with Unstable Wall of Elements or Mystic Siphon. You are getting Minor Force from the Oakensoul ring. You are taking a 3% damage loss alone by not slotting Mystic Siphon. If you don't like the tether, Wall of Elements would work better than Trap and cause more damage, especially on a mobile boss.

I understand why you are running Intensive Mender, but Hungry Scythe is a very effective heal and damage ability as long as you are in range.

Thank you. I've switched out the stamina glyphs for spell/weapon damage glyphs. I also got rid of my inferno staff and have a lightning staff as my main.
