Map strategies?

Okay so obviously I’m not asking anyone for their supa secret strategies, but more so things that people who’ve been playing Cyro know generally. I’ve only been pvping for less than a year so I usually learn something new every day. Like at Ales, if you don’t go FD, you siege from the hill at one of the RSS (I can’t remember which one it is). Or at one of EP’s keeps, it seems a lot of people say to siege from the back wall than FD (I can’t remember if it’s Chal or KC). Or let’s say, for example, DC goes Roe - well then AD might go Nik or Ash to draw DC away from Roe. Obviously defending the tri keeps is usually the most important thing, with Glade, Arrius, and Faregyl taking precedence. Is there anything else that old pvpers know to do that is considered basic knowledge in Cyro as far as map reading goes? And how do you get better at reading the map and making a plan for what to hit next successfully?

since im usually in cyro solo, i try to watch for call outs to see what keep needs help either in terms of defense or offense

im usually a little more wary on offense calls because half of the time i get there and the offensive had failed, where as if i go to a keep that was called out to defend and it turns out help wasnt needed i can just look at the map and plan the next course of action

in terms of key things to remember, i would say its usually better to hit sejanus from a postern wall instead of FD unless its very weakly defended, BRK is kind of similar its usually better to hit a wall instead of FD unless its poorly defended
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I use the addon "Cyrhud" since most of the time I'm not in a group. It tells you where your faction is sieging, before this shows up on the map. So, for example, if someone calls out to go to Chal, and cyrhud shows only 1 siege, I know that won't work, so I don't go. But if Cyrhud shows 10 siege, that is a reasonable attempt. On the other hand, at an outpost like HO, 3 siege might be a good signal to go there, since it doesn't take as much siege to flag it.

If factions are at 2 bars, I think you should always go FD. A ram is the fastest siege machine, and you should always try to max out the ram (6 players). Plain ballistas are the best for most siege.

Some locations can siege without showing up on cyrhud, eg Chal mine tower , North rock at Chal, Alessia farm tower, KC lumber, Faregyl Lumber, bleaks north postern.

The most successful siege is rapidly getting 20/20. This usually requires an organized group. This way you can flag the keep and get in before the enemy faction can ride there. Whereas if you only flag it with 3 siege, they will ride there and wipe you.

Inside the keep should put 6 people per flag for the fastest flag flip.
