Hullo,

Does this only effect my HA and and LA from my weapons?
It has no effect on abilities like 2h like upper cut, correct?
And no effect on class abilites like jabs, correct?

Tankz!

Your weapon trait affects everything. Heartland Conqueror doubles the effect of your weapon trait.
(For example, if you are using a 2-handed weapon with the Precise trait, you will boost your critical chance by 14% instead of 7%, which applies to all your damages and heals)

And Nirnhoned, for instance, increases weapon damage by 15%, which will be 30% with Heartland Conqueror. But this weapon damage affects everything! Including healing and damage output from spells!
I think it is central to ESO's well-being to critique the developers when they change the game (or fail to change something).
But the negativity can be exhausting, so I vow to post 50/50 negativity and appreciation.

Traits are always active for everything you do, while you wield that weapon.

    For PvP - viable set?
    Nirhoned or Sharpened?

Maybe in NoCP/NoProc. But you have to find a build where it outperforms better options.

Heartland Conqueror is best used with Dual Wield for two full traits, instead of two halfed ones. Used on the body, you even have an increased infused backbar for, I believe, 556 WD/SD, instead of 452.

And it is the go to "training set". But outside of this it is rarely used.

Yes it's a very good set for no proc. But honestly it's an okay set for any build where you aren't backbarring and frontbarring sets.

I kinda prefer it for two handed weapons. For example my no proc stamsorc would use a sharpened bow and a powered resto staff.

For dual wield... I mean it's still just as good, but I kinda see it as a way to buff some more niche traits. Charged or Decisive for example.

For 2H weapons I almost always go sharpened over nirnhoned (with heartland,) just because there are lots of sets that give weapon damage, some more than heartland, but penetration isn't always as easy to get.

And that's basically my reasoning for the DW thing too. It is kinda awesome nirnhoning the mainland and sharpening the offhand with heartland, as you would anything else. BUT. There just aren't as many sets that give you increased status effect procs, healing done, or unnamed ulti Regen. I find this is a more unique usage.
