event description costed me too much gold (2023 Undaunted Event)

In The Official Event Post, check the "Opal Monster Mask Style Pages" section:

Opal Monster Mask Style Pages

During the event, when you defeat and loot a specific dungeon’s final boss on veteran hard mode, you’ll also enjoy a greater chance to loot its associated Opal Monster Mask style page. This includes the following bosses and dungeons:

[*] Sentinel of Rkugamz (Darkshade Caverns I)
[*] Velidreth (Cradle of Shadows)
[*] Iceheart (Direfrost Keep)
[*] Lord Warden (Imperial City Prison)
[*] Nightflame (Elden Hollow II)

I'm a trader and my playing style is 95% trading&cosmetics. Since there is no Swarm Mother in the above list, I invested too much gold into Style Page: Opal Swarm Mother Masks & Style Page: Opal Swarm Mother Shoulders on the market given they were cheap at that moment. I bought 10s of them because they were cheap. I was planning to stock them up then resell them later. But now I see, it's drop is enabled. I entered Spindleclutch 1, we got 2 drops(mask page) at the 1st same run. I already see lots of cheaper listings of them on the market. My business attempt got failed because of [snip] information in the official post. I made more than 3m gold loss.

Also, the Undaunted Camp NPCs are selling some shoulder style pages which are not stated in the event post, so which are not expected to return in this event.

This is not happening for the 1st time, it had happened for different events before. Please create event posts perfectly saying what are new drops, returning drops, ending drops etc.
You must keep in mind that "Trading is also a playing style and some people mostly play trading and never or rarely play PVE&PVP".

Please read the post again. It clearly says that it can drop in the previous section. The part that you linked is just stating it has a higher drop chance.

i believe swarm mother was simply forgotten when the monster mask style list was written.
seems pretty obvious when seeing that both lists are exactly the same except for swarm mother missing from the mask list.

They definitely should be more clear on what's dropping but if you were buying up a lot of Opal Swarm Mother Masks on the cheap and they were just recently listed within the last couple of days you probably should of realized they were getting them from the event.

I had bought them before the event, then I realized they drop at the 1st day of the event.

You wanted to corner the market and manipulate it for high prices and that didn't work out the way you wanted it to because you didn't do your research? How sad.

I have seen some of the devs talk about "information" in this game, and how they want the players to experience everything on their own and having to search for information in multiple different places. Ingame, interviews, social media, forums... To keep it interesting an mysterious, or something.

I guess they are doing a great job.

Because sometimes even the tooltips of my gear are very mysterious and don't tell me what's actually happening. The game doesn't teach you how it works. Not even the patchnotes tell us about every change they are making. PvP players for example need to learn stuff that you can't possibly know without excessive testing on your own, or someone telling you what's going on. I guess it's good that the last of the few content creators this game has had are finally leaving, because they always talk about secrets nobody should know about. Some of them even tried to write guides, ew. Same with the people in this forum, always trying to make some lists of known bugs or whatever... And people always asking for better communication, like the community managers didn't ask what communication looks like. I am glad that not even the customer service really talks to us. I like a little mystery. Will a human finally answer me, or is this robot with a name all i get?

So please don't blame some random list for your wrong investments, you should have been more careful with you research. And the research should have included watching old interviews where they clearly say that they want players to find out everything on their own.

I agree, the announcement was confusing to me also. It only lists those few dungeons as having opal mask style drops, and it's not clear that other opal mask pages drop from other dungeons as well. Just at a "regular chance" I guess.

I agree, the announcement was extremely confusing and there's a lot of conflicting information out there - it definitely should have been made more clear.

BUT...common sense should have told you that those masks were dropping if you see them being listed for cheap from guild vendors...not really sure what you were thinking, there. That's on you, my friend.
