Does the game warn you about an impending patron win?

I know I used to see warnings pop up that my opponent was close to achieving a patron win, but last night I lost to an Expert NPC who beat me with a patron win, and I swear that no warning message popped up as far as I saw. I know, I know-- I should have been paying more attention; but I didn't notice that 3 of the 4 patrons favored the NPC until after I hit the treasury to convert a card to a writ of coin-- and as soon as I clicked on that and got ready to hit the hourglass, I saw that Hlaalu was neutral and was the only patron not favoring the NPC. So naturally the NPC hit Hlaalu and instantly won the game despite my lead. My only excuse is that I had the TV on and was half-watching mysteries and crime dramas on Ovation. I know that isn't a good excuse, and it means the warning could have popped up while I temporarily focused on the TV, but I figured I should ask if the warning was removed during one of the recent updates?

i have never seen such a warning.
i just try to pay attention to my opponent's actions

I have been getting the warnings over past few weeks, whilst playing Proficient npcs, can't comment on experts though! 💜

I've seen the message pop up with expert NPCs when they've had 3 patrons turned.

At the beginning of your turn the annoying black banner that hides your opponent's prestige, and/or the cards and their tool tip info while in a pop-up selection window (should you activate such prompt before the animation of their next 5 cards finishes) will warn you if your opponent is near a patron victory, but it will be the last of the messages you receive from this banner making it easy to miss while you play.

its very easy to miss some of these warnings as they only pop up briefly at the start of your turn

its the same kind of warning that if your opponent is over 40 prestige, so if you happened to say be watching tv at the start of your turn, you would have easily missed it

Thank you all for the feedback. It confirms my original assumption that the message is still shown and I simply wasn't paying enough attention to notice it.

It only pops up if they have 3 patrons’ favor at the beginning of your turn. If they start their turn with only two patrons and get the opportunity to flip the other two in the same turn through card perks, you won’t get the warning before you lose.

That's what I figured.

But in my case they did have 3 patrons flipped at the beginning of my turn, and I was too busy watching TV and feeling overly sure of myself that I didn't notice until just after I clicked on the Treasury, converted a card to a writ of coin, and was about to click on the timer to end my turn-- and by then it was too late to stop them.
