Sealed Jewelry Crafting Writs are worthless

It costs so much to complete one that no one is doing them. I can't sell them and I can't even give them away. I have put one up for sale for 5g and still no one bought it.

Please consider making the requirements to complete these more reasonable so they will be worth doing.

yes i just destroy mine as i get them. i've heard some of the blue ones are minimally profitable but i don't care enough to do the cost/benefit analysis for each. at least since they don't replace a better master writ drop, as the gold clothing ones do.

I'll do the health, magicka, and stamina ones at blue or purple, I destroy the gold ones on sight. Any other trait also gets destroyed.

They sure don't sell well on PCNA. I asked the guild if they wanted them and they said no, we just destroy them.

I do certain ones if I want a lot of vouchers to buy something. Otherwise, I destroy them.

I keep the blue ones, and sell the higher quality ones. I normally set the price below the TTC minimum, though, otherwise nobody buys them.

Really the Gold one's r truly worthless unless you're an eso Billionaire to be honest lol. I do the purple ones about twice a month and buy Aetherial dust since i play often and essentially it is free money deconstructing the Purple Jewelry. Even then tough not selling the Zircon. If I had to buy it no way would I do them.

They're only worthless because the player created economy on PC values the materials more than the vouchers you get from those specific writs.

It's not the same on every server. Are we asking for platform specific balancing now?

I love how the Free Market works. I would hope nothing changes "Except" Maybe Yearly Events that Reward doing them and rewarding each Level with such reward tied to it. Nothing would be more exciting than having a chance to get a rare Gold Furnishing Reward from doing a Gold Sealed Writ. Cheers!

It's not all player-created, though, is it? ZOS have made certain jewelry materials very difficult to get, and that's driven up its price, which of course makes certain levels of jewelry writs no longer worth the reward.

You get guaranteed improvement material drops from daily jewelry writs at max level. You don't even get that with the other crafts. Yes, you may need more to upgrade something (40 chromium grains), but many jewelry pieces actually drop in gold quality, and are re-constructed in gold, so you don't even need the materials. I have thousands of grains in my craft bag from doing writs. They aren't rare.

Edit: They give 5-10x the vouchers of the equivalent master writs for the other durable good master writs, so that is well and accounted for (since you need 5x the mats)

for me, the value of a jewelry writ is in the trait required to complete it, not in the price or number of upgrade mats needed. i'll hold on to a gold writ that requires healthy, robust or arcane to complete, but destroy almost any other writ. it's about how easy it is to acquire an excessive amount of the trait material.

    > but many jewelry pieces actually drop in gold quality, and are re-constructed in gold, so you don't even need the materials.

correct me if i'm wrong. i expect i'm missing something.
gold jewelry comes from trials and the golden vendor, so trial jewelry can be reconstructed without using gold mats.
dungeon jewelry is base blue, and overland is base green. reconstructing any of these requires both purple and gold upgrade mats.

gold jewelry drops aren't as common or easily acquirable for some as for others.

i like doing the jewelry masters because of the large value of writs for simple crafts

my problem with it is the tempers build up significantly slower because of the horrendous way they are handled (having unrefined versions which literally no other craft does)

i have like ~160 jewelry writs that friends have given me (mostly blue ones), but because of how slow it is to accrue the tempers it can take a couple weeks to have enough to even do like 5 blue jewelry master writs

its like you have to basically be dolmen farming 24/7 in order to get enough jewelry to actually keep up on these writs

During the 100% I burnt through shirtloads of blue jewel master writs for that exp ,

Imo if you got the materials it's worth the exp boost + 150% scroll ,

The jewel masters and other master writs I had gained me 50+ cp to push me over 2600

    I was not disappointed

When I do master writs think blue, purple and gold jewelry writs are great if I dont have to buy the mats needed.

Blue jewelry writs that are Triune, infused or bloodthirsty are a bit sucky tho.

for the traits i think it depends on what you do lol

i have nearly 30 million AP to buy dawn-prisms with for triune, and i run enough trials i have 200+ slaughterstones for bloodthirsty lol

Without the massive stocks most people have for the older materials, the jewelry ones are just more costly. I've done plenty to stock up vouchers, and the purple ones with an xp scroll or event add up xp.
From what I read here, console economies are not a bad as PC.

said this a long time ago. It's too expensive to do a blue jewelry writ for the average (non-rich) eso player for such an unequal reward. [Snip].

I have a few High Voucher writs for grins. I will never do them. All other Jewelry Writs are trashed.

I do the blue jewelry writs sometimes, when I have enough terne and iridium platings, because they give a reasonable number of writ vouchers. I don't do them often, though.

Only usually do gold ones or the odd purple arcane/healthy/robust maybe bloodthirsty because i tend to accumulate alot of those. I destroy most and lately when i went shopping for master writs, i noticed people are trying to sell jewellery master writs for alot of gold not sure why.

I destroy the triune ones and do the rest when there's a double XP event on, but I tend to hoard my materials (I do not need to sell them for quick money).

Double XP event + 150% XP scrolls from daily login rewards + equipment writs = the most satisfying way to gain CP after 3000+ CP.
